15  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Compact Mirror parts help on: April 10, 2006 08:52:06 AM
I just received all the supplies I need to make compact mirrors on my button maker. I am very excited.....But theres one problem. There is a part called a shim which I think is used to stablize the mirror but I'm not sure how it works. I just made a mirror and put a shim between the shell and the mirror. It came out looking good but the shim isnt secure inside the mirror. You can hear it sliding around inside.....Does anyone know what I'm missing here?

Thank you. My husband said it was "too much" but he's a guy. What does he know!  Grin

Thank you so much! I had a vision of it last night when I was trying to fall asleep. I couldn't wait to get to it today. It came out just as I pictured it.

Yeah, those red dice would be awesome!  I just found bracelets that you can do this with here: http://www.firemountaingems.com/details.asp?pn=K076000JW. It just looks to time consuming for me to fill all those loops!
