We currently have six members, and you're very welcome to come join us!  We're currently meeting on Tuesday evenings, but we don't have one set place where we met. If you private message me, I'll keep you updated about where we're going to meet.

And don't be timid to bring other crafts!
2  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: crazy huge boots on: July 06, 2006 10:26:51 PM
I checked on google and one site says to use nail polish remover on a piece of paper towel (maybe try it on the inside hem at the top if there is one to make sure it doesn't eat the material)

try non acetone before acetone! if you do use acetone, make sure you rinse the area with water well afterwards and make sure it's not on the pleather for more than thirty seconds.

6  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: One ball of cashmere... on: December 04, 2005 10:49:26 AM
knitty just came out with a lacy shawl-thingie (sorry).
i think cashmere would look nice in a lacy pattern. and it's pretty small. i think she says it only took one skein for her....

i think that i'm having an off day...which pattern is this?

that would be lacey:

well, you can tie a knot leaving at least an inch on the ends and then go back and weave them in, or you can do the fraying metheod (only 100% wool).
