1  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Re:eye pillow on: April 07, 2004 04:53:05 PM
for the heating thing:
i took  some soft flanel fabric and sewed it into a pillow.  then i filled it with corn kernels, ones that wont pop when you cook them.  when you want to heat it, just put it in the mircowave for a bit.  it stays hot pretty long.  i use it for cramps and for keeping my feet warm in bed during the winter.  works great.
2  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re:UN-BIRTHDAY SWAP (sign up closed ; mail your craft by 3/24/04) on: April 07, 2004 02:43:28 PM
I got mine last week but I haven't been on line really. sorry  Nicki.  anyway thank you so much. its adorable!
I wish i could post pictures but camera is broken.
it is a silver bracelet with clear glass beads and a tiny blue elephant charm on the end.  she sent it in a tine white tin with yellow fuzzy fabric inside.  thanks again.  it made that day so much better and i wore it to passover!

4  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Discussion and Questions / Re:rosary beads on: March 24, 2004 05:46:08 PM
the link you gave didn't work for me.  I made beads out of rose petals about a year ago.  I was going to use them for meditation but I never did because I got angry with them; when they dried they got really bumpy and misshapen, but I've been meaning to give it another go for a while.  Any tips?
5  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Re:Dreadlocks on: March 22, 2004 05:44:21 PM
i've had them for about 2 years and i haven't done anything except wash them pretty much since then.  i have tons of loose hair everywhere.

8  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re:button button, who's got the button on: March 14, 2004 07:34:55 PM
my friend started to cover and entire table top wit buttons, but after a while she got bored, more than half was covered and it was in a cool curvy shape so she left if half finished wit just enough room to put her lamp on the uncovered surface.
