2  blue-orange sky (img hvy) in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by cpnoi on: July 08, 2006 07:34:10 PM
I am not a photographer by any means, and my camera is pretty crappy, but just a couple minutes ago I looked out the window and noticed the color outside was a very strange hazy color. I couldn't see the sky because there are a bunch of trees outside the window, so I went outside. The sky was a very pretty blue and orange and I just had to take pictures. I think these are the best ones with the true colors (they shrunk a bit).

^^ This wasn't meant to be centered, I just noticed it now...

^^ vv These are almost the same but I like them both... Smiley

Click here to see the rest.

Comments/criticism appreciated. Smiley I might add a few of these to a portfolio thing.

(hmm, these remind me of a certain French painter's work; I read that he had his own blue shade that was named after him or something...I wish I could remember his name...)

The skirt is actually just like april cocaine's circle skirt tutorial:

except you stop after step 6, so you're left with a square of fabric with a circle-shaped hole in the middle.

You cut two (or three, if you want) of these squares. Sew the squares and the waistband together in the circle area like this (the gray part is the waistband):

Good luck with my crappy tutorial... Smiley...if you have any questions, just ask. Wink

It's just two squares of fabric with circles cut out in the middle and sewn to a circular waistband. Not too hard. I can draw a tutorial thing if you want. Smiley

5  shoes - card suits, the Pagets... (img heavy) in Shoes: Completed Projects by cpnoi on: December 29, 2005 06:58:42 PM
This is my first project post...so instead of doing my english homework about Pride and Prejudice...I was listening to Maria Callas and watching tv and painting my shoes:

^^ I was working on these while watching the 1940s movie of Pride and Prejudice at 2 am, found it while looking through the tv guide Cheesy. There's a dent in both shoes below the last grommets -- like when you stand up on your toes and the shoes bend? That's why it looks funny there. I have to be careful when walking in them. I'm going to wear them to pep band on Monday.

These are the Pagets! I wonder if anyone here knows who they are? I silkscreened them and then painted in gray details and stuff. These shoes are too big for me, however. I hope my feet grow sometime soon ^_^.

These are the same type of shoes as the Pagets. I found three pairs in the basement. Just plain white dots.

I didn't paint these, I bought them for ten dollars...but aren't they great? Smiley

6  Red and black striped shoes and...? in Shoes: Discussion and Questions by cpnoi on: December 27, 2005 05:54:45 PM

I had these red shoes and painted the black stripes (still have to touch up), but I still think they're kind of plain. What else should I paint on them? I was thinking card suits, but I want some other opinions first.
