11  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Discussion and Questions / I am an utter noob should I buy this?? on: January 27, 2007 07:13:32 PM
I want to start spinning and dyeing my own yarn but I have not started yet. I have an opportunity to buy wool from a person I go to school with.  This is straight up wool not roving and its already been cleaned. He said I could have a shopping bag jammed full for 10 bucks he said they can get like 15ish pounds in one bag. So that seemed like a good deal to me. But what do i need to do to get this into roving?? Is this something I can do or should I pass of this?? Please help crafty superwomen.
12  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Stitch And BOTCH / The New Years Eve Necklace that wouldn't happen on: January 01, 2007 11:01:17 PM
So when I was in ceramic class this semester I made some gold beads that were kinda lumpy but still looked alright. I'd been saving them until I could think of the perfect use for them so yesterday I was thinking I would make on of those long necklace that you rap around your neck a couple of times. They are really popular around here now. I though this would be the perfect use for my handmade beads and I just happend to have the perfect smaller seed beads to go with it. So I made it really long because I wanted to rap it a few times. When I finished it was perfect! I was so happy. So I put it on and then I was like I could probably wear this as a bracelet too....so I rapped it around my wrist a bunch of times then when I went to take it off it got tangled and really tight around my wrist and I couldn't get it off at all so I had to break it to get it off and untangled.  I was like okay I have enough time to fix it so I did and it was shorter but good. So I got dressed and it matched my outfit perfectly and then I was looking for my shoes it go caught on something and broke all over and down my cleavage.  I wanted to cry.

At 5 in the morning when I was changing to go to bed I had a bra full of beads and it made me sad again.  Cry

17  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Knifty Knitter Scarf on: January 20, 2006 09:12:36 PM
Hi everyone this is my first topic on Craftster! I made this scarf on my knifty knitter. I used the red loom but not the whole thing. I was the first good thing that I made on the looms. The first thing I made was a hat that was to small lol.
It is made out of regular Red Heart yarn. I think it is a super savers one. I used 1 skine for this scarf.

Let me know what you think!!
