I received from Suereal, and it's so awesome! My picture does not do this justice at all...it's so sparkly and amazing!

It's to represent the Year of the Dragon. Smiley

2  Re: Felt Badge Swap Gallery!! (Send Out April 30) in The Swap Gallery by semicharm86 on: April 23, 2012 03:22:33 PM
All of these badges are incredible! I have one to add to the collection, an amazing rockabilly sugar skull from La Chapa!

It fits my style and personality so well! I plan to put a pin back on it and wear it all the time!

3  Re: 4x6 Art swap Gallery of Greatness! in The Swap Gallery by semicharm86 on: April 11, 2012 08:02:02 AM
I received my art from Crazyda79 yesterday! I love it!!

The details are all wood-burnt, and the sand, shells, and starfish are real! So pretty! My roommate really digs it too, we hung it in our kitchen! Really brightens things up! Smiley Thank you so much!

5  The Big Lebowski Resin Pendant in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by semicharm86 on: November 22, 2011 11:27:58 AM
I've been wanting to make pendants from all of my favorite movies lately, and this is one of them:

Made from epoxy resin cast in two layers to avoid those pesky air bubbles from getting under the image.

6  I've been on a Craftster hiatus: First post in two years! in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by semicharm86 on: November 17, 2011 05:15:26 PM
Hey everyone! I'm new to the jewelry board in general, and I used to be an avid Craftster follower, but for some reason it's been almost two years since I last logged in! Anyway, I'm glad to be back, and here's a few resin necklaces I've made recently:

(teeth themed for a dental hygienist friend of mine)

Thanks for looking!

7  First attempt at polymer sushi: a jewelry set. in Polymer Clay: Completed Projects by semicharm86 on: December 15, 2009 09:31:23 AM
Hi! I'm not very experienced with polymer clay at all, but I love looking at all the tiny foods everyone has been making! I wanted to make a unique present for a good friend of mine, and sushi came to mind right away because we love to get together and share gossip over sushi.  Wink This is what I made for her:

The whole set

post earrings

wire hook earrings

sushi plate pendant with ginger and wasabi

my favorite, the sushi bracelet! I'm giving her her gifts tonight when we go out for sushi, I'm quite excited!!
Thanks for looking!

8  Re: Favorite Book Swap Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by semicharm86 on: September 03, 2009 01:24:44 PM
I finally figured out how to use my new camera, so here are photos of the swap package I received from CuriousCoffee!
A pair of really neat earrings:

I think this necklace might be my favorite of the bunch, I've worn it almost every day since I got it in the mail!

Another necklace, along with another shot of the earrings to show how well the go together:
(the stamped letters on the pendant read "kingsbridge", to go along with the book she sent.)
A very cool magnetic photo frame! I've never seen anything like this, and I love it very much!
side one:

side two:

and side two again, but this time with a photo to show how I am using it:

And the book she sent me is called The Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett. I don't have a picture of this one, because sadly I left it in my work locker because I was reading it on my lunch break. I can tell I am going to be up many long nights reading this book because I am already starting to get sucked in! Thank you so much, CuriousCoffee!
Now I'm off to go finish my last item so I can send my package to her!

9  You'll not feel the drowning--first project. in Needlework: Completed Projects by semicharm86 on: May 02, 2009 07:45:31 PM
I recieved an embroidery kit from doo_leroux in the "I want to learn to _____ swap", and this is my first project, a mermaid patch that I sewed onto a purse when I was done. I'm really proud of it, because I really learned alot and I think it turned out alright for my first attempt!

some detail photos:

(this is before all the pattern lines were washed away)

(I'm not as happy as I could be with my work on the words. It seems a little sloppy, so I'll know where to put more focus next time.)

And here's how it looks on the purse:

I used satin stitch, backstitch, and split stitch. There's a few french knots thrown in so I could learn to make them, and I tried chain stitch, but ripped it out because it looked like a mess. I'll have to practice more.
Thanks for looking at my first project!!

10  Re: I Want to Learn to (blank) Swap!! in The Swap Gallery by semicharm86 on: April 13, 2009 09:20:57 AM
Crap! I just posted pictures in the wrong thread!! Here they are, in the right board...
This is what I sent doo_leroux.

and a close up of the sample bag I made:

I sent enough fabric, notions, and detailed handwriten instructions for both a velcro pouch/wristlet, and a larger tote bag. If anyone would like to see the instructions, I can email the attachment.
Sorry for the delay on photo posting!
