1  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / Jilted Maid of Honor Requests Your Help! on: January 10, 2007 10:23:45 PM
I am planning my first bridal shower for my best friend, and much to my dismay I have just found out that none of the other four maids will even be showing up (though two of them live less than twenty minutes away...) or helping. I don't want the quality to suffer for lack of involvement, but my lack of experience, time, and money are all issues for me. I have been scouring the boards and found some really useful advice, but I am still in need of some help. Namely, does anyone have any DIY favor advice? I am looking to keep it under fifty cents a favor, and thinking of it, I am really not even sure how many favors I am supposed to give to each guest... Is three enough? Also, are themes mandatory? The idea really doesn't appeal to me, and the bride has given me complete creative control, so I could do without one unless it's some sort of mysterious pre-matrimony tradition. And finally, what about cheap decorations? I have a couple of ideas for entertainment and food, but my framework is in dire need of support. Anything anyone might have to add would be seriously appreciated!
2  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / No-Sew Corduroy Ipod Case on: September 22, 2006 02:04:20 PM

This is my first completed project post for craftster! I have mixed feelings about it. It might be the best I could hope for without a sewing machine (I used Stitch Witch), but the uneven lines might drive me crazy. I made it for my boyfriend's birthday, and I only hope he isn't drawn to the imperfections like I am. Smiley

The scroll wheel has full functionality because of the light weight material covering it. I still need to add the plastic face, but am not really sure what the best way to do that is... super glue?

Thanks for looking!
