1  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / Bathroom Wall color help, plz? (picture included) on: March 24, 2008 03:06:24 PM
hey! i have the most horrid bathroom. the walls need painted, and luckily our landlord is really cool about it. only problem is i don't know what to paint them. i have to match the shower curtain (because i'm too cheap to buy a new one.) and the bottom half of the wall which is this linoleum-like stuff.

i have a theme in mind for the bathroom. (i don't wanna say, cause it's super awesome. you'll see when it's done.  Wink) but really, the theme could be done with a myriad of colors. the hubby vetoed my choice, a medium-dusky yellow like yukon gold potatoes.

any suggestions?
2  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Discussion and Questions / clay machine/pasta roller problems on: January 18, 2007 11:18:18 AM
i've just gotten into polymer clay and i am loving it! except for my pasta roller. it hasn't worked right since i have gotten it. it was sticking in one spot whenever i was on the thickest level, but now does this on the thickest 3 levels. so frustrating!  Angry i bought it at ac moore. it was sold under the brand "clay machine."  has anyone else had particular type of machine? did i get a faulty one, or do you think it's just a cheap brand? it's usually around $20 and in a bright blue box. is there a brand of pasta machine (not too expensive!) that you would recommend?
3  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / e6000 question on: December 10, 2006 06:36:05 AM
i opened my tupe of E6000, and used the applicator. how do you all store it? do you leave the applicator tip on? take it off and put the lid back on? do you even use the applicator at all? thanks.

6  CRAFTSTER CRAFT CHALLENGES / Craftster Craft Challenge Theme Ideas, Etc. / tattoo themed crafts! on: June 27, 2006 07:51:11 PM
ok, there should be some decent interest in this, judging by the size of the "show me your tattoo thread" alone! why not a contest with tattoo themed crafts? the possiblities are endless! decoupage, stenciling, embroidery, sewing, knitting, cross-stitch and general craftery! plus take into account the different genre of tattoos from tribal to biomechanical to sailor jerry/old school stuffs and you get even more tattooy goodness! any takers?
7  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / felt trogdor nintendo ds lite cozy ^_^ on: June 19, 2006 07:57:39 PM
so i recently got a ninetendo ds lite. i wanted to keep it nice and clean, but since it's white and i'm a big ol' walking mess, that's highly unlikely. so i whiped out my felt and threw this together.

<sarcasm> i'm so not a geek! </sarcasm>

he's so cool, with his beefy arm, sticking outta the back of his neck there....

and i glued some pockets to the inside for games...

i tacky glued some velco to keep it shut, but the velcro keeps coming off. should i hot glue maybe? any ideas? i new to felty-things.

his name was TROOOOOOGDOOOOR! burninating the country side! burninating the peasants!

*sings* oh! let's twist again, like we didn't do in moscow...  Grin I made the crafty time long enough for plenty of veggin' in front of the tv... I mean research. You mission, should you choose to craft it, is to make one large/time consuming item or 3-4 small/medium/not-as-time-consuming ones. If you wanna make more, that's your perogative. It's a direct swap (meaning you will recieve from who you are sending crafts to and vice versa), so please discuss this as to not do too little or too much. Discussion is what turns good swaps into GREAT swaps! (wow... sorry about the perky cheerleader routine... *shudders... my inner punk is ashamed...) That works, as does post stalking.

If you want to participate, information to send to organizer:

Here's the who is sending to whom list.  (god, i'm such a dork. i just spent 60 sec. thinking of how to rephrase that sentence so it didn't end with a prepositional phrase. i need a life.)

it worked out wel, shipping-wise; 3 pairs of americans, one pair of canadian, and a trio of UK dwellers (who will be doing a round-robin swap pattern, due to the odd number.)

tattooed_dork <-----> highway 16

9  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / uglyass xmas ornaments display ideas? on: April 11, 2006 07:21:04 PM
i have this abosolutely wonderful, kitchy collection of (mostly) glass xmas ornaments. i would love to display them all year long. i would just throw a tree up, but there is one problem. one cute, furry problem...

abby would destroy them. i thought about just running a wire around the top of a room and hanging them from hooks, but that seemed.. well... too simple, for lack of a better term. i'd like something a bit more crafty/kitchy but my brain is devoid of ideas. i bet you lovely craftster can help me out!

i couldn't resist posting another pic. i'm one of those horribly annoying my-cat-is-my-child-by-proxy persons.
10  Archive of Past Craftster Challenge Entries / CHALLENGE 10 ENTRIES / argyle chucks on: April 06, 2006 09:02:54 AM
so this is just something i did a while ago. i had an oldish pair of chucks that i was bored with. i blocked off sections with masking tape and this is what i made.

not the most creative, but i loves me some argyle! the sharpie writing was on there before i had the idea.

[edit:] i used acrylic paint mixed with a fabric medium.
