what i mean by sticking is, when i turn the handle, it won't make a complete rotation. it always gets stuck in the same location. i'm guessing it's just a shoddy machine and i'll have to invest more $ into a better one. it was only $19.99. you get what you pay for.  Sad

15  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Discussion and Questions / clay machine/pasta roller problems on: January 18, 2007 11:18:18 AM
i've just gotten into polymer clay and i am loving it! except for my pasta roller. it hasn't worked right since i have gotten it. it was sticking in one spot whenever i was on the thickest level, but now does this on the thickest 3 levels. so frustrating!  Angry i bought it at ac moore. it was sold under the brand "clay machine."  has anyone else had particular type of machine? did i get a faulty one, or do you think it's just a cheap brand? it's usually around $20 and in a bright blue box. is there a brand of pasta machine (not too expensive!) that you would recommend?

if you're worried about appearing not to like it, maybe knit yourself a small accessory with it (headband, scarf, et al) and wear it when you give her what you make with the majority of the yarn. that way you both have something from it.

Your kitty is soo adorable.  Is she a noisy talky kitty?

~k

yeah. especially if she's only around one other person. she doesn't yowl too much, but if she's looking at you and you talk to her, more often than not, she vocalizes back.
