2  For a Mario Party in Halloween Costumes by quirkyparsnip on: November 04, 2008 05:19:10 AM
I went to a party with a bunch of friends dressed as Mario Characters. I know I have no chance in the competition, but I still wanted to share since its the first time I've dressed up for Halloween in ages. I saw the other toadette costume, and mine isn't a whole lot different. My hat is a plastic Halloween candy bowl covered in batting and covered in fabric. I used tape and safety pins for the whole thing, so it could be easily deconstructed (which I did last night). The pigtails are newspaper balls in fabric and rubber bands in between each ball. The vest was made, and the dress was a XXL womens shirt I resized. That is my younger brother in the picture with me.

3  Quilt in Quilting: Completed Projects by quirkyparsnip on: July 18, 2008 03:04:46 PM
I added onto my original post because yeah. this starts from the most recent and goes backwards (minus http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=110270.msg1051318#msg1051318 cause I already posted it)

I made this quilt for my boyfriends birthday present, awkward picture, but the overall look. It actually fits a full size bed. I finished it back in January, but its taken me forever to post it.

I made this quilt for my friends new baby march of 2007.

Right now I'm working on a quilt for my friend. I'll post it when its complete!

6  A&M "Mash" Hat in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by quirkyparsnip on: July 27, 2006 11:49:40 AM
So I made a college-a-fyed version of the mash hat this morning because I had this thicker fabric and lots of time to kill.

Umm and the letters arn't sewed on exactly, I can't decide if i want to make them permanate or what.

So I decided to make the brim about half the size and make the bill stiffer, so the bottom looks a lot cleaner now. I also attached the letters.

7  Two Purses in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by quirkyparsnip on: November 23, 2005 08:15:50 PM
2 purses I made a while back, both are kind of summerish, so thats akward. But whatever.

This one now has a strap, I hadn't bought it yet at the time I took the pictures.

8  Re: TUTORIAL - Radar M*A*S*H Hat with brim! in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by quirkyparsnip on: October 09, 2005 12:32:34 PM
Hey, the original post was on my birthday, crazy, anyways, I made one yesterday in my down time with some 30 year old fabric to try it all out. I'm wearing it on the wrong side, I know, I'm such a rebel.

9  Re: Slouchy-ish bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by quirkyparsnip on: July 28, 2005 12:10:43 PM
I love that bag! The fabric is awesome. Where'd you get it from?
Wal Mart! It was either $1 or $2 a yard on their clearence table. I just had to have it, I loved it so much!

And this is how I came up with my pattern.
