5  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Re: Alternative to Serger - Any Ideas!?! on: September 10, 2009 04:37:23 AM
After the months of struggling with my serger (I lost...) I've found a great and cheap alternative for this %^$#%#^% machine. It's a cutting foot. I have one made by Brother, I know that it fits other machines too. It makes a great job, the stitches are smooth and flat and the edge of the fabric is perfectly finished. Long live Brother!
6  CLOTHING / Costumes: Discussion and Questions / Re: How to sew a sequin trim? on: February 25, 2009 12:17:51 PM
Thanks, that's what I thought. I have about 65 meters of sequins to sew, so I'll try machine. Wish me luck Smiley
7  CLOTHING / Costumes: Discussion and Questions / How to sew a sequin trim? on: February 23, 2009 08:58:21 AM
Is it possible with the machine?

I'll be grateful for any advices...
8  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: brooches made from old/foreign coins on: January 25, 2009 11:58:56 AM
On one of the many occassions I've been deserate for cash recently, I gathered up my childhood coin collection and took it to a shop near me that will value old coins for free, and buy them if they're worth anything... I discovered that their only value is their prettiness!

As I can see, you have two completely contemporary polish coins. For today you can buy 1,16 USD with it Tongue
9  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Matryoshkas in the snow on: November 19, 2008 02:38:13 AM

10  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Re: Pumpkin Spice Lip Balm - tutorial on: November 08, 2008 05:54:28 AM
To avoid separating water from the mixture I would rather add a little more beeswax. Normally it's quite good emulsifier and it should keep the mixture together. You could also heat it a little more and stir it REALLY well afterwards...
