4  Japanese - like towels in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by Kot on: November 06, 2008 06:32:41 AM
I like nice, colorful towels, but here in France they are VERY expensive. It's much better to buy plain ones and to decorate them as we like.

So this is what I made lately:

I started to make the Christmas ornaments in August this year Smiley This is a first model of all the collection:

This is not very christmassy fabric, I know, but I found it so adorable...

7  Little cat in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by Kot on: November 01, 2008 06:39:12 AM
My puppet asked me to make her a cat costume for halloween and I, a good mum, made it immediately. I thought that she wants to be a black cat (like Dora), but she doesn't like black... She wanted a brown one and she showed me the exact colour! It took me a while to find a suiting fabric...

I used a Neue Mode M10100 pattern, it was nice and easy to work. The hat turned out a little small, but it's not a patterns fault, it's only that in my family we have big heads Smiley For my 3,5 year old I made size 5 - still too small...

It's me, in the witch hat (too small, of course)

8  Environmental impact in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Kot on: August 07, 2008 01:31:49 AM
Well, I try to decrease it as much as possible. Even doing my shopping. I already use the cotton shopping bags I made, but to buy fruits and veggies I always took the plastics they offer in the supermarkets.

Few days ago I saw the pictures of wild animals imprisoned with this type of bags and I thought that I can't continue like that. So I made my own, cotton, transparent ones, with a reinforced part, to put the etiquette.

The guy in the supermarket were surprised a little bit, but he accepted my explanations and didn't make any problems.

I highly recommend to copy my idea Smiley No, I'm joking, but it was really terrible to see that animals...

10  Coasters and wallhangings in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by Kot on: August 04, 2008 08:04:36 AM
I love their colours! They will go perfectly with my new atelier (now I only need to find myself a small table to serve a hot drinks on them, eating a plum cake, sitting on my plum sofa, under the plum wallhangings)

Any feedback?
