51  Re: fairy tale swap gallery in The Swap Gallery by midnight on: March 27, 2007 10:19:01 AM
Yippeee! I was so excited to get this - i never get mail! But the contents was the MOSTEST exciting!:

And a detail of the smaller items

The story was Cinderella - with an 80s vibe! Cinderella lost a earring instead of a shoe, so  Briana sent me some gorgeous dangly earrings. Also, I told her i needed something to carry tea around in and she sent me the most darling little tea bag tin with tea bags in it!
Plus shes even more amazing as she sewed it all by hand and its sooo neat! Im so chuffed and her story was so original!

55  Black Rose Ribbon Necklace in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by midnight on: December 17, 2006 11:02:17 AM
Made for a christmas present (but i really wanted to keep it by the time I finished!)
My friend has a real thing about black roses, so i made this from fimo, with dangling fimo hearts and plastic beads and a ribbon. The ribbon is really long so it can be worn at any length.

Me wearing it as a choker

56  My WICKED t shirt! in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by midnight on: November 16, 2006 06:50:37 AM
Wicked is my FAVOURITE musical, and i bought a t shirt when i went to see it last month. But unfortunately it was unflattering/too big/boring etc. You all know the score. So with the help of my new OVERLOCKER - Sid (hurray!) I turned it into this beribboned, flattering, pretty, low necked, puffed sleeved new top of which Glinda would be proud  Smiley

57  I like my coffee in a painted mug! (pic heavy) in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by midnight on: November 20, 2005 02:15:33 AM
The Eddie Izzard painted mug I did for my friend for her birthday. Was gunna do it in porcelain paints, then lost them and did it in acrylic. Her dad put it in the dishwasher and it got ruined, but ah well. The quote (slightly modified) says "I like my men like I like my coffee...... covered in bees!"

All hail King Eddie!

I may be sounding a bit thick, but im sooo keen on this style of skirt, but im flat broke and just cant figure out where to get started. Im loving the ragged cinderella, gothic fantasy look thats going round at the moment, and I adore this skirt.

Can anyone give me any pointers on where to start /patterns that would help/ fabric that would be best to use/fabric manipulation/helful tips etc? Any helpful comments would be most welcome  Grin cheers guys!

60  My Unicorn Net Denim Skirt! in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by midnight on: July 06, 2005 09:47:42 AM
Ah, the age old i-turned-my-old-jeans-into-a-skirt number. Used to be my old favourite jeans, now my new favourite skirt! I just chopped off the legs and cut the design off and sewed it back on where i wanted! Unfortunately that meant sewing through like, 2 layers of denim and one of emboidery, so my fingers are now like strainers, ie full of holes. But it was worth it! And im i love with net! This is my first post, so please go easy on me!  Grin
