I am making these as little goodies for Christmas.


I saw them at Cracker Barrel and thought wow I could easily make those and get many more for my money!!  So I bought all the supplies tonight...large marshmallows, chocolate sandwich cookies, and milk chocolate.  I have a few questions though...
1. How far ahead of time do you think I should/could make them (as I don't want to wait until the last minute...I'll be making cupcakes then =P)
2. Should I put them in goodie bags or a tin/box?
3. Dip cookie and marshmallow separate and then stick together or attach with a layer of chocolate and then dip?

I'm also asking over at the Bakespace forums =D

Overview of all my loot!  clothes for miss kitty, skelly, largish coin purse shaped zipper bag (I use it for the stuff I usually put in pockets in my purse like lip balm and pill box), cuuuute purple crushed velvet lined pumpkin bag, candyyyy and some little rubber mices.

They're just plain old sugar cookies that I pressed candy corn in to as soon as they left the oven.  Thanks to Martha's Halloween issue!!!  I'm being asked to make more for a family get-together on the 27th =P

What would work best for a mane?  I was thinking of making one of those ribbon collars with different shades of yellow and orange. 
Also a good idea for a sunflower petals to go around the head?  i was thinking maybe felt but would it be sturdy enough to stand up?  I also thought about using wire to stiffen but i don't want to hurt my baby =(

I got a hand me down camera from a friend (albeit the best hand me down ever!) and had no camera strap to lug it around.  I asked around about handmade camera straps and suddenly it came to me...a tie!  So without further ado here is my swanky skinny tie camera strap!

Just a square on the sewing machine to hold it together about half-way between the fold and ends of the tie.

The strap is reversible allowing you to purposely let the tie ends hang down or attempt to tuck them under (which doesn't work as well as planned).  I bought my tie at http://www.solidcolorneckties.com and the D rings are from http://www.cdwplus.com!  The lanyard hooks are just from Michaels*.  There are things I would probably change if I made another one but I definately love it's uniqueness and I get lots of comments!

*Story about buying them* I went in Michaels specifically looking for these for my strap.  After looking in the lanyard aisle and the jewelry aisle with no luck I asked the closest employee "Do you guys have lanyard hooks?"  She gave me the most blank look and said "Umm...what do they look like?"  Now I dunno if you've ever had to EXPLAIN the details of a lanyard hook but it's kinda hard.  You just sort of expect people to know what it is...especially somebody in their 20s working at Michaels!  She ended up asking another girl who said "Oh yeah we have those!" and led me right to the lanyard aisle where I had overlooked them.

I've been making felt cat toys with catnip and selling them at my aunt's shop.  I did hearts for v-day and I'm doing bunnies for Easter.  I thought it would be cute to make cute little poos.  I probably won't sell them but I'll definately be giving them to my friends who are into cute japanese stationery characters.  Does anyone have a pattern?  Here's the look I'm going for:

I searched for this but couldn't find anything.  I need tips on making hanging bottle vases.  I've seen them in artisan shops and trendy downtown boutiques.  They have a long coiled wire hanger and the wire is wrapped around small colored glass bottles.  You fill the bottle, hang it and put flowers in the jar.  I need tips like what guage wire to use and so on.  Or just a tutorial.  Sorry this pic is so small but it's all I could find.
