I have recently found myself among the throngs of people who are in love with this show. I didn't watch the first two seasons but after catching an episode over the summer, I became hooked.

16  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Pictionary Swap on: May 24, 2006 09:05:46 AM
Ok, I thought of this as I was trying to sleep last night and it was keeping me up! It's a pictionary type swap.
It would work like this.

Once the signups are over, I'll send everone a different list of 10-15 words which the swappers will draw, in as much detail as you want.

Once you're finished drawing, put your drawings into some sort of small book or present them in an interesting, fun way.

The last part is to craft one of the things you drew. ie:) you drew a watermelon, make a felted watermelon magnet.

All partners will send their packages and then guess what each drawing is.

sound do-able?
17  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Barbapapa swap? on: April 28, 2006 11:00:05 AM
Hey all you craft-a-maniacs!

How many of you remember Barbapapa? It was kind of an obscure cartoon from the 70's/80's. Is anyone interested in being a part of a barbapapa swap? I'll give it a week or so to see if anyone wants to and then I'll start organizing.

Have a great weekend all!
18  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Little Snowmen on: November 14, 2005 03:12:53 PM
So while walking through the dollar store today I had a cool little christmas gift idea. It's perfect for a little addition to a gift or even as a gift for those people that you don't want to spend a lot of time/money on (co-workers, neighbors, etc..)

So, here it goes

So there you have it! They're pretty cool and a neat little addition to gifts. You could put them in potted plants for decorations, or give a friend a dozen snowmen. The best part of these snowmen is the price, they average about 13.5 cents a snowman. At that price you can add some pretty cool things onto it, like scarves or a hat, or whatever!

Enjoy!

EDIT:
I got bored so I gave them all a little personality...wow the possibilities are endless!
19  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Going away present on: October 25, 2005 04:27:24 PM
Okay, so my friend is moving to Australia (from Canada) in a couple weeks and I want to make her something but I can't figure out what to make. I thought about making a "Canada in a box" of stuff she might miss, or an "Australia in a box". Any suggestions?
