1  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Mario Wine Markers on: September 18, 2010 06:21:11 PM
So I've set out an ambitious goal to handmake one item/project a day for 365 days (I'm up to 18 days so far!) and last week my project was wine markers. After thinking for a few minutes about a theme I decided that Mario would present me some cool markers so I ended up making a set of 4.

If you're interested in checking out my other projects, they're all at my blog: http://projectmade.wordpress.com

2  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Dr.Bunsen Honeydew and Beaker's Experiment Gone Wrong on: April 20, 2008 03:49:28 PM
So I bought a huge box of sample colours of clay and when I saw this cool green shade I knew right away that I had to make Dr.Honeydew from The Muppets. And of course, where there is  Bunsen Honeydew, there is also Beaker!

Dr. Honeydew explains his experiment

Beaker is clearly upset with the results
3  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / The Howlin' Owl Trio on: April 19, 2008 09:33:31 PM
The other day at work (I work in a middle school as an education assistant), the class I was working in was doing silent reading and I got bored and started to doodle and came up with these three owls playing in a jug band

and the later coloured drawing for my sketchbook

5  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Where The Wild Things Are Shirt on: March 23, 2008 03:23:35 PM
So on a whim I decided to make a "Where The Wild Things Are" shirt featuring my favourite "wild thing", Moishe! The stenciling isn't perfect but I like it

6  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Mr. Bump on: August 08, 2007 01:27:07 PM
A crafty version of the shirt that seems to be popping up everywhere, after washing it once it even did a cool fade, the lettering isn't spot on but it's close enough. Plus at $3.00 I think I saved about $25. Woot!

8  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Cinnamon Stick Santa on: December 04, 2006 02:28:26 PM
My mom has been making these for a few years and this year I hijacked her idea to give to coworkers and friends. It's so easy and costs about....  25 cents.  I sprayed them with a sealer afterwards and used a hot glue gun to insert a small hook in the top. Easy!

the one on the right with the ribbon is the one my mom made

9  CRAFTING FOR GOOD AND NOT EVIL / Crafty Charitable/Social Causes / Christmas for an orphaned boy on: November 01, 2006 03:17:48 PM
I'm not sure if any of you crafters in Canada have heard about the story of the little boy in Edmonton. Here's a little news story
http://cnews.canoe.ca/CNEWS/Canada/2006/11/01/2197938.html
I know that christmas is a busy crafting time but I thought even if a few people made some little toys or cards or even a scarf, that it would help to bring some light to this boy's christmas.
10  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / foray into watercolours on: October 28, 2006 10:46:40 AM
so recently someone at worked asked me if I would do a painting for a raffle/draw thing and she asked me to come up with some ideas. I've never really done anything in watercolours before so I thought "hey...why not?". These are what I came up with (just as smaller ideas for a larger painting) and she didn't end up picking any of them...just thought I'd post 'em to see what you guys thought..they're not fantastic as I did them rushed and it was my first time using watercolours...now I'm not sure what to do with them..lol
