1  COOKING / Vegetarian / Vegan / Re: Easiest Vegan Mexican Chocolate cake EVER! make it and bake it in one pan. on: August 04, 2006 05:59:56 AM
Just baked it. I'm simply in love with it. So easy to prepare, so fast to bake, so little dishes to clean : ) And I second spunkyPOPmonkey's remark about the low fat content. After eating several errm pieces I still don't feel stuffed or anything. I served it with vanilla ice-cream. Awesome.
2  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: What to do with avocado? on: May 24, 2006 03:28:00 AM
Wee! Avocado! You're soooo lucky.
Mm, I might not be too helpful, but here are my recipes for avocado salad.

1. Take an avocado, a ripe tomato, some chilli (I use bottled) and a red onion. Dice the avocado and tomato, slice the onion and chop the chilli. Mix everything and add some dressing. For the dressing, mix lemon juice, olive oil, vinegar, salt, pepper and spices (I use basil, oregano and also chilli opwder). That's all.

2. Take an avocado, a tangerine (or orange), some kind of salad, parsley and tomato (hope I'm not forgetting anything). Slice, dice or whatever and add the dressing (mix mustard, olive oil (if you want it - not actually necessary), vinegar, salt, pepper).

I love eating both with dark wholemeal bread. (http://www.vilniausduona.lt/images/1108749187.jpg)

Ew, reminds me of my old Computer Science teacher. Well no, she didn't have such a west but I'm sure she would have worn it if she did.

6  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Help with partial petal fold. on: December 10, 2005 01:25:56 AM
One of my friends loves crows. So I decided I'd give her some origami crows for Christmas. The problem is, I found this diagram (http://www.fishgoth.com/origami/diagrams/crow.pdf) but can't seem to go through step 6. Can anyone please explain me what do the words "pratially petal forld"?
Thanks in advance. .)
{or maybe someone has another diagram for an origami crow? Any help would be greatly appreciated}

9  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Survey: Continental vs. English on: October 18, 2005 07:19:33 AM
1.Where do you live?  Lithuania (Eastern Europe)
2.What style do you prefer?  Continental
3.Who taught you how to knit? (do you know their lineage?)  My mother (Lithuanian). And I was also taught at school.
4. Have you tried, successfully or not, to change styles throughout your knitting life? If yes, why? Nope. I think I might try it - not in order to change, but just for fun -, it sounds quite interesting. To say the truth, I found that there was "another" - I mean, English - way of knitting only on Craftster (it was about a month ago) but only today I managed to look up what it was.
