1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Re: Baseball caps made into purses? on: July 15, 2006 09:35:56 AM
Just thinking. But....

You take two, sew (or something) them together so that the brim/bill is that the same place but only sew it about half way so that the hat part makes a bag and where the brim is becomes the opening for the purse. The brim could become the handles - you could even make a cut out in them for hands. And of course you would want a lining in it.
hope that makes sense to you.

4  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Re: Friendship Bracelet Cozy on: April 24, 2006 03:53:19 PM
WOW, totally didn't give you the link last time! I'm too gimped.
http://www.mediamessage.com/kayton/GirlScouts/bracelet3.htm

And once again I am going to have to run (fast limp, w/e).
Pretty much what you do is start however many bracelets you are going to need to make the whole bag. And you make them up until picture four in ^^^ link. Then you place them all side-by-side and attach the outside strings (color blue in picture 5 of same link). And continue the row as you would normally. And you continue doing that for the whole thing.

I hope this makes sense, I don't have time to write out exactly what the book says so I am paraphrasing.
Let me know if it sucks too much!

I just thought of something tho. These strings are going to be long, REALLY LONG.

Good luck.

What if you made it with ribbon or yarn instead? That way it would go faster.

this is pattern for the arrow. however it doesn't have the part that joins the two(or more!) together. BUT i know what you are talking about and have a book about how to do that, and I will write more later. But right now I have to catch my bus, so I got to run.
good luck

7  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Re: Songs about babies, for grownups? on: April 04, 2006 08:28:25 PM
I sing along to the song, but I dont know if anyone else does but "Look into my fathers eyes" I forgot who sings it, but I`m sure you could google it.

I googed it and got the song "My Fathers Eyes" by Eric Clapton.

I think "Dance with my Father" by Luther Vandross would be a good song
