211  Re: Tiny thing 3 gallery in The Swap Gallery by cyndiq on: February 05, 2006 05:22:25 PM
Hi everyone,
I got my parcel from morning star today.
she made me a beautiful purple pouch with butterflys and hearts which are my favourite things.

we also did a personal swap for fun. I sent her some aussie souvenirs but havent got a pic of them...a kangaroo stuffie on key ring for her bag, a koala clip, postcard, some samples of vegemite.
She sent me a lovely pink panta, which is so nice and just the right colour. only trouble is my model doesnt want to share with me, my son connor who is 2 says its his....and hasnt given it up yet...

finally morning star recieved my parcel a few days ago so i am posting the pic of the one tiny thing i sent her........chandeli er earings with crystals and heart and stars and chains....

I hope you enjoy wearing them.  Wink

cheers cyndiq

212  Re: TUTORIAL: Make a Lined Zippered Pouch in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by cyndiq on: January 28, 2006 12:07:52 AM
hi bond girl, Grin

Roll Eyes well most of the time i snip the metal ends off, but a friend leaves them in and they look neat enough, so next time i made a pouch i left them in. I guess it depends on the length of the zip and how wide you want your pouch as to how much u cut it off.
I made a great betty boo pencil case using the same technique, just put in pencil slots inside, for my daughter.
here are some pics...
front with her name embroidered

back has extra pockets

inside pockets hold all my daughter's pencils and pens

First week at school, another student asked where she bought it.
She doesnt like home made stuff but she did proudly say her mum made it and the other girl was impressed.
So not bad for a  home made pencil case.

any comments? cyndiq

hi i have recieved my final parcel from janonice
Here it is.

Closeup of the cute butterfly pen topper

and a cute flower brooch. it has 3 layers hard to see in the pictures.

they are both tiny intricate crochet crafts and adorable. Also thankyou for the crochet hook for my collection.
Thanks Jan very much.
Well thats all for me. I have recieved from everyone, and it was all wonderful!

Just have to see the pics from ellipse. I hope she doesnt mind but here is what i sent her.

plus a little butterfly lavendar sachet i forgot to get a shot of, wonder if customs kept that!
closeup of the necklace, copper with chainemaille. i accidentally came across a post of ellipse when browsing craftster and found out she admired copper wire and bead necklaces so ..........voila!

I hope it fits ok and is staying together ok, i had a go at making all the components to match ie all the individual chainemaille links as well as my celtic links i love to make. and the colours you admired for the beads. so i hope it is what you would wear.

Well the only parcel to disappear was from TWELVETY  to JANE DOE, so she is resending.
Jane have you checked at the post office?
Otherwise i believe everyone has recieved.
So it has been a great swap and please let me know if i havent updated your feedback. Cheers Cyndiq.

217  Re: Christmas Stocking Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by cyndiq on: December 23, 2005 05:53:17 AM
my partner has recieved  Cheesy, and will be sending after xmas. she has had a car accident.

Here are some pics of the celtic themed stocking and goodies my partner isolation wanted. Here are my sons  modelling the stocking and oriental style wrist purse with celtic knot embroidery.

notice their lovely smiles, which i delight in as my son on the left was struckdown with autism at age 20mths, ie 22 mths ago, he has slowly improved  on a special diet, and is a lot happier, alert healthier boy now.

closeup of the black velvet celtic wrist tote, i loved it hard to part with.

now the black velvet pouch  i made to hold jewellery etc. it has a beaded zipper pull.

group shot of the stocking and goodies

i sent a set of celtic jewellery i made entirely myself. i am very proud of it. i used black glass beads as thats my swap partners favourite colour.

this was the whole set earings, bracelet and necklace.
I also included a arabesque styled hand beaded key ring i made myself, xmas decorations - free standing lace, made on my embroidery machine and beaded, also a bag of buttons, a travel sewing kit and a tape measure.
ihope my partner likes it. merry christmas cyndiq

thankyou jan, have you got any more parcels yet?
i sent mine last saturday, i hope it gets there for xmas.
ok well ralph emailed me, she recieved but cant post pics for a while. I took  a quick snap before i sent so here it is.

I wasnt sure what to make, so I made 2 pairs of earings and the xmas decoration, a cute xmas stocking that sparkles and is beaded, and a lavendar buttefly (ralph had mentioned she likes butterfies). She says she likes them and has hung it all up and worn her earings. So happy she likes them.

this is fun seeing things arrive here at home and here on line when they arrive there. Its nice to see what we all recieve. And best of all hand made stuff appreciated.
cheers and merry christmas....cyndiq
