11  yet another circle skirt in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by XOcrazy4uXO on: May 30, 2006 10:04:02 AM
I've been looking at all of the circle skirts on here,
and wanted to make one of my own, but I didnt know how it would turn out.
So, I made one for my sister (who's 5) as a test - figuring it wouldnt use as much fabric.

full view:

aciton shot:

overall, I'm really happy with it. Now I'm going to make one for myself!
The best part is that it only took me about 45 min/1 hour to make.
(I used pink_dinosaur's tutorial - it worked great! http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=86002.0 )

feedback appreciated!

tell me your ideas.

lamp full view (its supposed to be a like a well - to turn it on you pull down the lever)

16  button bulliten board. in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by XOcrazy4uXO on: May 07, 2006 12:58:56 PM
so we were cleaning out the basement, and i noticed an old bulliten board in the trash pile.
well, it looked perfectly usable, just a little old. so i spruced it up  Cheesy

i painted the entire board black, then hot glued citrus colored buttons around the edges.
(please excuse the lame things on it - i just slapped some stuff on for the effect)

to hold the items ON my new bulliten board, i made matching button pushpins  Grin
(this is only a few - i tried placing them so you could see the front & backs)

and WALA! there you have it.
comments are always loved  Cheesy

close up of fabric [sorry the lighting stinks]

the inside of the purse is lined with the same color yellow as the straps,
and is complete with a pocket for my junk + cell phone.

i started out using a pattern, but it got too confusing so i kind of made it my own

close up of top [the fabric looks almost snakeskin-like here, but its reg. cotton]

and finally, an action shot [twirling to make bubbles]
