41  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: 2009 Fat Quarter Swap (Sign ups 1/30-2/9 - Send Outs 3/1) on: February 05, 2009 02:47:21 PM
I hate being so indecisive about things.

Come on, you know you wanna! It's just a few bucks for shipping and you might get something really fantastic in return!

i personally dont prewash because I do love that wrinkled or puckered look on all my quilts, but that is just my personal taste, everyone is different and we all have different opinions and i will try to partner accordingly.

I like the wrinkly quilt look too, so I don't prewash. Plus, I have to pay $3 per load of wash.

I had a similar problem yesterday when I was quilting, and it turned out that my presser foot was up. I felt stupid, but I was glad it was a simple fix  Roll Eyes

Hi everyone!

We have just a little over 3 weeks of sewing time left! I encourage you to look at your group spreadsheets and make sure that everything is up to date for you. I know that the holidays were very busy for many of us and some blocks may have been received but not logged on the records. I'll be getting in contact with anyone with an empty gallery over the next day or two; if you know you fall in to that category you can go ahead and PM me and let me know if you're on track to send on time, etc. Keep up the great work everyone- I can't wait to see the rest of the blocks!

for a Federally regulated entity, USPS is super fickle. I have shipped packages first class through usps.com before and have had no problems. When I was in line at the post office the other day, I saw a guy shipping a bunch of flat envelopes with DCN's and I couldn't help but wonder WHY there are all these 'rules' if no two post offices ever do things the same.

Anyway. I got a postal scale for $2 at an estate sale of a dead doctor. I also got a bunch of sweet glass jars and vintage medical instruments  Roll Eyes It was a great investment and I'd say it's definitely worth the $30 or so that most stores sell them for!

oh, and I am about 1 hour away from being finishing up all my soaps...finally! Tongue
