poppet kit: It has everything you need (fabric, eyes, directions, pattern) that you need to make a poppet. The skin fabric is grey.


A pink and tan 100% lambs wool sweater from J.Crew. It’s a size large, but was washed and shrunk (AKA, got a little felted). I think you could cut it up and use it for crafts, but it’s not so great for wearing. There are some fuzz balls on the arm pit and a hole on the cuff, plus it’s kinda shrunken.

4 half-yard cuts of quilting fabric. It was for a quilt for my roommate’s mom and it’s not really my style. One marbled green, 2 floral prints and a bird print. They area all from the Hancocks of Paducah website.

Matryoshka zipper pouch. It's 7" long, about 3 inches tall and 1.5 inches across the base. It's lightly interfaced and lined with coordinating dot fabric. It's more sturdy and cute in person than in the picture. It also comes with 2 matching pinback buttons.


6 crocheted sweater ornaments. I made these for a craft show and they just didn't sell. All are acrylic (except the green one, which is cotton) and all are unique. The red one on the end has bobbles across the chest, the green one has a button, and the aqua/red one is 2 strands of yarn so it's kind of bulky. All of them are on a handmade wire hanger. They're about 4" tall.


1.5 yards of pink/cream/glittery houndstooth. I'm not sure about the fiber content, but it's heavy and a little bit of a loose weave. I think it would be very cute for a jumper for a little girl. There are flecks of shimmery thread in the weave. The penny is for size reference.


3 yards of cool sailor fabric. It’s thrifted and hasn’t been unrolled or washed yet. It seems to be a one-way knit, but I don’t know the content or condition of it. There are little sailors climbing ropes and looking through periscopes (or spy-glasses, or whatever those things are)

Bunny zipper pouch. It's about 4" tall, 1.5" wide and 7" long and fully lined and topstitched. It's also heavily interfaced. It could be good for an Easter present.

A book about collecting US state quarters and other coins. It was published before all of the designs for the coins were finalized and is outdated in a lot of ways, but has information about each state.

Onegroovyday and I agreed to swap a bigger package and boy did she deliver!
The fabrics came wrapped up so nicely and labelled (with laminated labels!) as 'washed' and 'not washed.' SO nice! I asked for greens and browns for a quilt I'm working on and she definitely helped me out there. My favorite fabric is the red and white hippos though; they're so cute

Here are the goodies that I've received so far!

Pendants from atsuko and coasters from kaymadben.
My mom is the scrabble champion of the Senior Center so I'm going to give her on the the charms. I pretty much ruined my kitchen table by not using coasters, so these coasters are much needed!


And yesterday I got my leather bracelet form gala_apples and brooch from esmecraftin. Boyfriend wore the bracelet and I wore the brooch all day. Esmecraftin also sent some crocheted flowers and a heart. Both the bracelet and the brooch as so lovely and welcome additions to my wardrobe.

I just finished pouring my last soaps, and the washcloths have been done for a while....so I'm green!

Yesterday I got my awesome package from rita, aka oops_creations!
First, there are a ton of postards from art shows and such. There's a really cool one of birds on a tree that have mushrooms for heads.

Some random stuff including breast cancer ribbons that have flower seeds in them, notebooks, note pads and best of all, floss holders for 'civilized flossing!'

And there is more, much more! Here you can see that she sent a bunch of quilt blocks (the flying geese are my favorite) and some circular knitting needles, faux wood pieces, the cutest snoopy and bunny dolls and  a roll of shiny stuff. I'm not sure what I'll use it for, but it's cool and shiny!

And lastly, here is the fabric. There are some really sweet vintage pieces and a bunch of Christmas fabric. There is also a opppet making kit with eyes, fabric and even a pattern and instructions. My favorite part of the whole box is the California flag...CA represent!

For those who are getting a fruit loops soap from me, here are your choices for your 'side dish.'
Each person will get one fruit loops soap and a choice of either another fruit loops soap or one of these washcloths. The washcloths are all crocheted in a basketweave pattern with 'creme de la creme' 100% cotton yarn. #2 and #4 are still in progress here.

I'm offering my fruit loops soap for this round. The soaps in this picture were packaged up and wrapped in plastic, which is why they look so weirdly shiny. It's entirely made of molded soaps, and the "fruit loops" go all the way through the soap, not just on the top. It's melt and pour soap, and I usually scent them with cranberry or apple scent but can also be made unscented.

These usually sell for $5, so I'll also be including another item (or items) to bring the value up to $10. This could be bath bombs, a crocheted washcloth, a pack of individual fruit loops, or another bar of soap. The recipients could help me decide.
