1  Tree & Hedgehog in Needlework: Completed Projects by Bourgeois on: July 10, 2011 05:57:18 PM
I made these for a button swap.  There is not a ton of actual needlework involved but I'm happy with the way they came out.

Sorry for the delay on posting the inchies from seeuudee!  I love them all!

The moving part one is a little Winnie the Pooh book, cute!  The local one is a flower from her garden.  Oh and the upcycled one is Dove dark chocolate wrapper - love those!

Thanks so much seeuudee!

4  Re: I ♥ LOVE ♥ Buttons Swap Round 3 GALLERY in The Swap Gallery by Bourgeois on: June 30, 2011 07:26:45 PM
I received a fun-filled package from GoldenSunshine yesterday!  Everything was wrapped with explaintions

First she made this super cute teddy bear.  I feel like he has a lot of character.  She informed me that he does not have a name yet.

Floral embroidery hoop!  I have lots of blank wall space, so I can't decide where I'm going to hang this yet.  I'm thinking maybe our office/craft room.

Bird house.  I mentioned that I love gardening & yard stuff.  Isn't it cute?

Button ring.  Love the colors!  I've already worn this out to a beer tasting last night and I got several unsolicited compliments.

Bracelet.  She had asked my wrist measurement, which I immediately forgot about.  It fits perfectly.

Button assortment.

A few favorites.

Thanks so much GoldenSunshine!  I love everything!!

I received from coconutbells yesterday!  They are all so great and detailed.  She really went crazy with my wist & profile.

I just realized I shouldn't have removed them from the original sheet which explained which was which!
From Left-Right: Old, yummy, funny, local, hidden.  Next row: cute, upcycled, wist inspired, shiny, moving

The birdcage one, you spin the little gold handles and you see the bird in the cage, so clever for moving inchie.

I tried to pick some favorites, but I just couldn't!  Thank you so much!

I received from crazyalien8 today!

She used my beer theme for the inchies.  I love her teeny drawings!  Check out that stine.  One question: what is a Stiefeli?

I picked a favorite for fun.  The HOPS!

She picked knitting for the ATC.  So cool and I just love the colors.

Thanks so much crazyalien8!!

Well, I know that StarFire has received, but she has not posted.  Here's everything.

Close up of the inchies.  I had fun drawing the weird owl one.

9  Re: DIY Craft Kit Round 14 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by Bourgeois on: May 02, 2011 05:19:45 PM
Hooray!  I've received too!  I got a fun filled ATC & Inchie kit from lacey0828!

I wasn't expecting this til Wed. so I was super surprised to see this waiting for me when I got home!  It is very stormy here today.  Wasn't it nice of the mailman to put it in a plastic bag for me?

It was packed in a hardcore fashion.  I had to use my husband's pocket knife (which scares me) to open it.

Hooray!

I started snatching things out pretty quick, but I managed to take a picture of how well packed this kit is!  She even put my instructions in a binder, all special-style.

Look at all these goodies!  There are tons of fun things, impossible to name them all.

I actually really didn't know what ATCs or inches really were, so I really appreciated lacey0828's explanation, suggestions, & tips.  I'm already eying that 'beginner inches' swap!!  Thank you soooo much lacey0828 I'm super excited to try a new craft!

I want to point out that I had self-control enough to post before I delved into crafting.   Grin

10  Clever watering can, includes recycling! in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Bourgeois on: June 13, 2010 07:49:25 PM
I had been hanging onto this last empty bottle of laundry detergent for a fun craft project and I finally got around to doing something with it.

I decided to make it into a watering can, but I wanted it to be cuter.  So clearly, I first gave it a good rinsing.  Then I used that blue painters tape and cut out a floral type design.

Then I gave it a good spraying with some brown spray paint.

I decided not to paint the blue top because it was a nice color to begin with and gives a nice contrast.  I just used a hammer and nail to puncture holes into the top.

I like the part on the back that shows how much liquid is in it, so I saved that.

And it actually works rather well!
