1  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Discussion and Questions / Gauchos on: September 17, 2006 05:42:32 PM
Just wondering if anyone had made their own gauchos?  I love the way that they look and my hubby likes the look on me so I was just wondering.
2  Texas / Texas: North Central / DATE CHANGE!!! Dallas Area Crafty Get-Together! on: July 29, 2006 02:21:55 AM
Who: Dallas Area Craftsters
What: Get-Together for a Day of Crafting!
When: Sept. 9th, 2006 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Where: Garland, TX
Why: To gain comraderie between local crafters!

How: Reply here or shoot me a PM and I will send you the e-vite for the event with more information (address, rsvp info, etc.).  I have two tables (kitchen and dining) that will seat 8 and then also have seating in my living room for 6 more.  I have plenty of room to move couches if more tables and chairs could be brough by other crafters.  I can get up to 8 more chairs for plenty of room to craft.

I figure everyone can also just bring their own lunch/drinks and I will provide the cooler, ice and oven/microwave/toaster if needed.  I will also make some goodies for us to snack on throughout the day.  This is definitely making me need to clean our house.  LOL!

**I had to change the date due the fact that I found out that was Labor Day Weekend and didn't know.  Sorry but I also hope this will help more people come.
3  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / My First Quilt on: September 11, 2005 08:03:52 PM
I am almost finished with this quilt.  I need to do the iron on letters on the black that will read "Ms. Smith's Class" and "2004-2005".  It will have a black flannel backing with orange quilted stitches.  I am so happy with what has been done so far.

These were the squares that my students last year decorated near the end of the school year. I figured that I couldn't start this years quilt if I hadn't finished last years.  I think this is a good tradition that I hope to continue for all of my years of teaching.

I'm standing behind it to hold it up.  You can kinda see the size of it. I'm 6'3" and can see over it.  It will be about 6' long when finished.
