1  Yay for Being Married! -Final pics and Crafts (Image Heavy) in Weddings and Bridal Showers by Le Cirage on: July 10, 2006 10:00:01 AM
Pshew...I'm excited about being able to start on some swaps after my year long engagement hiatus. We had a great time at the wedding and we received tons of complements on all the DIY stuff! Yay...guests really do notice!
Here's just a few of my DIY projects.
To see more check out my knot bio http://www.theknot.com/co_profileview.htm?profilename=LeCirage
and our professional pics are here http://www.johnlewphotography.com/slideshow/carter/index.html.
And even more pics on my flickr page! http://www.flickr.com/photos/feelingismutual/

Our wedding invites  (letter press)

Thank you cards (print gocco)

Rehearsal Dinner Invites (staples copy center ^_^)

Program (home laser printer...see how the "quality" of printing goes down as time goes by?)

Sandalwood fan (a huge hit with warm ladies and guys who wanted to be ninjas. letter press tag)

Buttons (tags were printed at staples, buttons constructed by oneinchround.com)

Table Numbers (print gocco and stencil on wood)

Seating Chart Poster (once again from staples copy center... one of my bridesmaids works there)

Family tree memory waall thing (plywood with stenciled "wall paper", moulding, ribbons and dollar store frames. It got a little beat up after the wedding before  I could get a pic)

Parents and grandparents wedding pics, our engagement pics and two childhood pics.

Screenprinted shirts

groomsmen shirt

bridesmaid shirt

My first garter attempt...don't make fun!

Thanks for looking!

2  Wedding Crafts- Image Heavy in Weddings and Bridal Showers by Le Cirage on: April 17, 2006 07:26:19 AM
Someone asked for invitation designs so I was inspired to post mine and some other stuff I've got in the works.  There's a lot more to come so I'll just add anything new to this thread too. Let me know what you think!

For my invitations I did all the design work and then sent them to Paper Monkey Press in Berkeley for the letter pressing.

... same with the letter pressed tags for the fans.

Again, I did the design and shipped somewhere else for production– Oneinchround.com

And the table numbers....

... The wreath was printed with my Gocco and cut stencils for the numbers (would've taken A LOT of flash bulbs)

Wedding projects have taken up the extent of my craftiness the last few months.  There's only two months to go and then I can get back to my regular scheduled crafting!

edit:  Thought I should clarify about the "le cirage is awesome" at the bottom of the pictures...I'm not really that vain, I promise. It's just on there to keep the chicks on the Knot from stealing my pictures w/o credit.  Either that or I'm really into self-confirmation.

3  Save the Date Cards! Hot off the presses! in Weddings and Bridal Showers by Le Cirage on: November 29, 2005 09:53:43 AM
I just picked up my save the date postcards from the printer...pretty exciting to see the finished product.  Can't wait to develop crampy hands after addressing them all Tongue

They were designed in Photoshop and MultiAd Creator and are 3.5x5 in.

Freakigreeniiz,  Grasshopper let me know that you recieved your package!  I was a little nervous that the box would be too flimsy to make it to you so that's good news Wink

here's some crappy scans of what I sent her

A lined zippered pouch with felt and ribbon appliqué

The stencil at the bottom of a red t-shirt. (looks a bit similar to the one I sent Bobolink eh?)

A framed mixed media picture on canvas board (colors aren't quite right on the scan).

Hope you liked em!

5  Re: Ben Folds- Rock this Swap! Gallery in The Swap Gallery by Le Cirage on: September 19, 2005 12:41:15 PM
Okay here we go...and sorry about the bad scans Janer. If you took pics please feel free to show them off because the scan doesn't do the pouch justice at all.

The vinyl pouch. It's true colors are black and brown and it has a strap for your wrist. rock!

My very own Reinhold Messner fake ID.  Sweet!

A Ben cushion...mwahahahaha...so much better than my chewed on tomato.

I also received an awesome cd of Ben Folds highlights. Fantastic!
Okay I'm done...Thanks Janer!

Alright here we go! Like I said, I'm at work so I might forget to mention something...please speak up if I do.
A group shot

The rolled up stationary relays the story of Mr. Penguin (name optional) who is hand knit.  I think he's great and my dog does too...which means I'll have to watch her extra close or I'll be vacuuming Mr. Penguin bits from the carpet (don't worry, he's safe).

Detail of the bracelet and hairclips...which I love and wore to work today.

Magnets made from Scrabble pieces,  a book mark, and an Audubon birding journal with a personalized découpage cover.

Everything was very nicely wrapped..it was just like Christmas Wink Thank you so much!

8  Mix Tape Pouch in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Le Cirage on: June 13, 2005 03:35:16 PM
I love making bags but nothing beats the quick short term commitment of a pouch.  This was a prototype for the pouches I sent out for the Music to Craft By Swap.  Lined...ribbon drawstring...felt appliqué...the usual.  I did have to handstitch the top which made construction last a little longer than I wanted but que sera.  It's the perfect size for tampons and pens and lately I've been using it as a case for my glasses.  Sweet.

9  Brick Fire Pit in Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Completed Projects by Le Cirage on: June 13, 2005 02:13:25 PM
I've been meaning to post this for a while but was waiting till I took a better picture... it doesn't seem like that's going to happen anytime soon, so here it is.  I bought this copper fire bowl a year ago and my boyfriend and I love it.  Before it started getting hot, we used it about three times a week.  The fire always made me a little nervous just sitting on the bare ground so we decided to make a mini patio.  We scavenged the bricks from our downtown and didn't have nearly enough for a patio - even a mini one -  so this is what we came up with. In the picture the mortar hadn't dried so the bricks weren't cleaned off yet...it's pretty dirty too...but it looks awesome.  We were pretty proud of ourselves.

10  Re: Help with an ungodly large tire. Any ideas? in Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Discussion and Questions by Le Cirage on: June 13, 2005 11:55:30 AM
Thank you all so much for the great suggestions!  For this season I've decided to take the easy way out and plant a small garden. We've always wanted to plant tomatoes and peppers and this seemed like a good place to do it.  My boyfriend and I really enjoyed reading through all your ideas (we especially wanted to plant a tree in its center but the tire is right underneath a huge tree). If the plants don't make it though we might have to go with another plan.  Thanks Again!
