21  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Rainy days are good for sewing [Ultra Pic Heavy] on: June 02, 2007 10:20:41 AM
It's been raining for about 2 days straight so I've been sewing like crazy!

First some coin purses...

And a card case/wallet...

And a wristlet!

All of the fabric is from JoAnn except for the anchor fabric, that's from a garage sale. Cheesy

Shoes!

Tiny envelope + card

I told you there were lots of pics!
23  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Give it to me straight on: May 18, 2007 01:10:45 PM
I have looked at some hat patterns but I'll be honest, I can't follow ANY kind of pattern. At all.

I just started working with DPNs and I think I'm ready to tackle a hat. A basic basic basic hat aka beanie. There are a few things I want to know...

1. How many stitches should I cast on to start?
2. After how many rows should I start increasing or decreasing? (If I'm working top>bottom/vice versa)
3. When should I stop increasing/decreasing?

I think I can figure out the rest.  Smiley
24  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / 2 skirts for summer! on: April 30, 2007 01:05:35 PM
First of all, I apologize for the horrible pics. That is what happens when I'm trying to take pics of the clothes that I'm wearing. Second off, the tute for these is here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=14880. Here they are...

The fabric on that one actually looks like this and is cuter in person.

And the back/side...

Ok, my butt is so not that big. Anyway, I wish I could say that they were put together better but the construction is just so-so. It's hard to get the ribbon in there and stitch it so that it won't go anywhere.  Undecided
25  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / My first FO, a cuff! on: April 24, 2007 11:10:55 AM
I taught myself to knit a few weekends ago and here is my first FO! The yarn is hand dyed by me.  Grin

27  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Would envelpoes made of... on: April 22, 2007 03:48:39 PM
Victoria's Secret catalogs be to risque/skanky? I've been dying to try making some envelopes and I've got a stack of catalogs 99.9% of which are VS. (They send me one like every other week!)

If this goes elsewhere, feel free to move it.  Wink

XO-
Megan

30  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / I guess these can go here? Burp Cloths and Wash Cloths on: March 27, 2007 07:17:58 PM
I probably should have put these in the "baby shower" section but they're not for a shower or gifts. I don't know, anyway, here are some burp cloths and wash cloths. They're all flannel and backed in white terrycloth...
