2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: first shirt surgery !!!! on: June 29, 2008 05:15:02 PM
it's gorgeous! what size shirt did you start with, and what does it fit (what size shirt do you wear) now?
3  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / 150-ish sheets of assorted color tissue paper? on: June 29, 2008 01:12:43 PM
i've always wanted a tissue paper dress. i started on one for a party dress for next week, but realized half way through it that, as a big girl, i looked a tad bit like something off of viva pinata, and wouldn't want to risk getting people trying to beat candy and toys out of me. also, i realized the paper would be some extreme insulation in the extreme carolina weather, which would have probably led to sweaty, gooey, rainbow colored globs of tissue and tape instead of a dress.
not cute.
so, now i'm left with about 150 sheets of assorted color 20 by 20 inch tissue paper, and nothing to do.
any suggestions?
4  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Chunky Ribbed Beanie on: February 21, 2008 04:39:55 PM
for a first, it looks pretty kick! from the looks of the way it fits your head, 18 rows looks to have been a good choice- two extra rows doesn't sound like a lot, but it'd bring it down to about your eyebrows, which i don't really like (i wear glasses).
kudos! keep up the knit!
5  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: Prismacolor key ring project on: January 28, 2008 01:52:04 PM
it looks great! it makes me wish i paid attention in art class during high school rather than harass the teacher. the shading over the metal is very nice- how long did it take you?
6  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: We got a digital camera - lots of pics :) on: January 28, 2008 01:49:03 PM
i love the rainbow hat! did you come up with the chart for the mario hat?
7  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: SEAL ALERT. on: December 25, 2007 07:32:15 AM
[sees "SEAL ALERT"]
me: OooOOO! [click]
[sees seal]

that's the cutest thing EVER! i've never seen a seal in real life, which equates to paying for gas money and begging girlfriends to take a day off to visit the aquarium! huzzah! inspiration to get up and do something with my life!  Grin
8  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: this is what happens when you mock a knitter! on: December 25, 2007 07:25:06 AM
LOL!  classic- that'll be a scrapbook memory for EVAH!
i knit cupcakes for my art teacher's kid- knit food items seem to captivate art teachers and two year olds alike, not to mention myself...  Grin
it's quite adorable!
9  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Piano Scarf *With Chart* on: December 25, 2007 07:14:03 AM
BWAAAAH! -super squeal of delight!-
it's ultra awesome! i've been playing piano since i was knee-high, and just recently met another girl who shares the same love of piano!
i.. must... KNIT IT!!!
(i've totally procrastinated on my holiday knitting- she can still get it in time for kwanzaa, though  Wink )
10  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: a superfast, super easy cable scarf, without cable needles.[yeah, its that easy] on: December 25, 2007 07:07:17 AM
i'd kill for the pattern! i've been knitting forever, but don't go out of the hat/sock area too much. kudos on the scarf- i heart the color!
