I've always wanted to try my hand at polymer clay. I even have a fair sized stash of Sculpey III. Well, this weekend I decided to give it a shot! Inspired by a marble technique I saw with fondant, I present you with my pendant! Ta da!
okay so it's not exactly completed but i needed to share. i took this from work (it used to have lemonade powder in it):
and papier mached him into this:
now all he has to do is dry and then i can paint him. though i'm torn what colour to make him. do i stick with natural squirrel colours (black, grey, reddish-brown)? or do i make him CRAZY? any suggestions?
this is also my first papier mache project since i was in like, kindergarten. so any advice is welcome!
i have like 3 months worth of newspaper, lots of flour and unlimited water. so papier mache i want to make lampshades with it. is this the dumbest idea in the world? papier mache them, paint them and then a layer of clear acrylic sealent does this scream setting on fire? help!
