1  $1 Refinished Teacup Set in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by wakeupdonnie on: January 18, 2011 08:14:35 PM

So, my friend was talking one day about how she likes stuff with this design, then how she loooves tea, then we went to a thrift store and saw these plain white teacups and she said how cute they were. I picked them up and said I loved them, too, and I was getting them.  Little did she know, later that day I also got porcelain paint pens Smiley I am so excited. Each teacup was 50 cents at the thrift store and the pens were $3 each, and I only used two colors. They're so easy to use; I haven't baked them yet like you're supposed to but I'm done painting them finally!
I'm planning to get her a cute purple porcelain teapot and some fancy tea for the rest of her gift Smiley Too bad I have to wait until February to give it to her!!

So I guess I didn't create this hair style.. But the blue faded really weird. It faded kinda like this, then I tried to dye blond over it, and... it's basically still this but the blond is more ashy. Hahahaha. I don't know if it's because of alcohol in the hairspray I use or something? I have NO IDEA how it did this.

I'm not sure what I think of it. I don't hate it for sure but I'm not sure how much I like it!

I meant to go blond, then it was really red because I dyed it red not too long before bleaching it (God forbid I use a color stripper first Tongue) and I didn't feel like fixing it so here we go!

It's faded to a kind of turquoisey color with hints of purple and teal and green. I really love it Smiley

Okaayy so I really want to cut my hair so that I can do it up in a fauxhawk, but also if I leave it down I want it to look good.. What would this look like, exactly?

For a laugh, here's me trying to make my hair into a fauxhawk at present.

Yeah, so in the meantime I made a scarf out of the green and yellow colors of this..

I actually really love it.

My girlfriend. I drew her tattoo.
Although I'll admit, it reminds me of one of the days we were especially on the rocks. Which.. is like every day for the past three weeks but, hey.  Roll Eyes what can you do.

My initials are just under the treble clef. Because I designed it.. I'm drawing one for her mom too and she'll be getting my initials too. lol.

I know it's not the best picture.. I'll be back with another.

8  Branching Out Headband in Knitting: Completed Projects by wakeupdonnie on: September 28, 2008 02:44:08 PM

Pattern: http://knitty.com/ISSUEspring05/PATTbranchingout.html
Yarn: Knitpicks Bare Merino Laceweight
Needles: Size 2

See, I got sick of knitting this a long time ago.. but it wasn't exactly long enough as a scarf. I got the brilliant (possibly..) idea of making it into just a headband. And considering when I dyed my hair I really didn't mean for it to turn black, I needed something nice for my hair, haha. So here it is.
And as it turns out, it really doesn't look all that bad as a scarf. It's not very useful as one as it's really thin, but it looks cute.

(and slightly offtopic, but I also gauged my ears to an 8 last night. You can see em in this picture. Smiley)

I dyed my hair.
This is the color it's been for pretty much the past two years.

I loved the color! But I decided I'd love it even more if it were darker. Well..

Black. Luckily when I style it and put on inordinate amounts of bronzer I don't look like a goth.
I miss my brown hair Sad Wasn't even around long enough to take more than like, three pictures of. Poor thing.
I'm still trying to make my peace with this.
When I first did it (Last night?) my girlfriend and I kinda got in a fight, and then I felt crappy anyway, and I hated it. I was really upset.
I'm liking it a little more, it's still hard to figure out how to dress to offset it.. and I still wish I'd just left the damn thing alone.

We'll see in a few days I suppose lol.

I got it cut like how it used to be.. she started cutting it just chin length-ish, but I said 'f it' and went for it Smiley I'm happy with it. I got about, 7 inches cut off? Lol
