1  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Beginner needs help making bath tea bags on: November 14, 2008 11:03:10 AM
Hi, Im trying to make some herbal tea bags for the bath. I used a recipe with green tea, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, and cloves but to be honest it smells like a cross between cake/curry and once in the water the smell is too delicate.

Im now thinking about making a more floral smelling one, have you got any recipes? Is it true that for a chamomile/lavender recipe I can just use chamomile and lavender tea or would I get better results with essential oils?

Thanks!

Hello!

Im a uni student and we always get stuck with really nasty furniture in our rooms, this year my desk chair was a horrible flaking brown thing with a nasty scratchy stained cream cushion cover so I sanded, painted and re-upholstered it! What do you think?

4  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / Japanese valentines day on: January 30, 2008 05:30:51 PM
Ok so I have an idea for valentines day for the boyface but am struggling to get it off the ground, I thought you lovely ladies (and guys!) could help?

For Valentines day I am planning to take my boyfriend to a Japanese restaurant he's been dying to go to for ages, so I thought I'd make a whole Japanese inspired gift, I plan to decorate a box to look like an airmail package, and have a 'voucher' for the meal out and another for a shiatsu massage, Im also going to have a go at making some fortune cookies (which are technically Japanese!) but then I've got stuck!! I don't know what else to do! I've made 'sushi' cakes before and given him a book about learning japanese, and chopsticks, and a J-pop mix cd, and even Japanese beer... so I'm kind of running out of ideas!! Please help!

6  CITY GUIDES FOR CRAFTSTERS / U.K. AND IRELAND / Anyone have a copy of Easy Living christmas special? on: December 02, 2007 02:33:26 PM
Hi! This is a long shot but I am desperate! I was reading a copy of easy living someone had left on the train, and in the christmas special magazine there was a website address I meant to write down but forgot to! It was on a page which was showing ways to wrap gifts, and it was for a a gift that had been wrapped with a plaster cameo on it, like the ones on brooches! It was the website for plaster cameo that I really wanted to get hold of! If anyone has a copy, could you have a look for me?! Thanks xxxx

Well I received my lovely swap package from SaphireFaerie, it's took me about a week to work out how to make my camera work with my new laptop but finally I've done it! Here's me modeling my favourite item! A close up f the potions earrings that I had wisted, SaphireFaerie must have stalked my wists! And finally a picture of everythng together, d dumbledores army t-shirt, my awesome reversible gryffindor bag, my scarf, the cool jewellery box, with potions earrings, some really yummy smelling candles (and yes, i think thats how the gryffindor common room would smell too, all autumny and like cinnamon and pumpkin!) some gummy snakes, some potions bottles filled with sherbert and lots of koolaid and chocolate!
