1  Re: One Hour Baby Booties in Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller by miss-susan on: July 03, 2006 05:23:00 AM
Here's my version, made for my boss who just had his first baby (can you tell it was a girl?):
They were made on Valley Yarns Shelburne (alpaca, wool, and acrylic blend of some sort) on needles about 2 sizes bigger than what the pattern called for. I think the baby will be able to wear them to her high school prom they turned out so big.

Here they are all wrapped up! I think the box really makes the gift.

2  Re: 'Kate' from Winter Knitty! in Knitting: Completed Projects by miss-susan on: February 15, 2006 05:33:46 AM
Here's my version...I named her Kirby aftery my cat. Here they are snuggling together on the bed. Kirby (the real cat) is very content even though she looks a bit pissed.

You can kind of see the tail I put on peeking out on the left. I think I cast on 7 stitches and knit in the round until the tail was long enough.

Awww, so cute together!

While I was knitting, my husband ridiculed (in a very loving way) the pattern, saying it looked like a pear with legs. To which I replied, well, Kirby is kind of pear-shaped too!
