1  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / Re: Present for close friend who lives overseas.. on: January 24, 2006 02:44:52 AM
Wow, thanks for the ideas!! All amazing and I will certainly be doing more than one of them.
I really like the disposable camera one..but I might save that for her birthday in April, we'll see. The voice recorder is something that had never crossed my mind before either, I could take it to school and get lots of people to say stuff Cheesy
2  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / Present for close friend who lives overseas.. on: January 19, 2006 05:27:58 AM
I'm at a loss here, I've been searching the forums for days for ideas for this but just can't seem to get any? Okay..so I have this really close friend who moved to Switzerland in June last year. Things were bad for both us before she left, but they've only got worse. I think she is beginning to find her feet over there though, which is good. But I want to send her something special for valentines, but i can't imagine what..so far i'm thinnking a card, and since i always send her music, i will burn her a cd. But i want something more..any ideas?
3  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Re: Show off your hair! And questions about hair styles! on: January 09, 2006 07:41:29 PM

So this was my hair about 6 weeks ago, at the start of my summer holidays. Which is the only time I can go any cool colours. I've redone the green quite a few times, and the black once. It was orignally semi-perm. I redid the black about 3 weeks ago. I've realized in the last week or so, that it is permanent. Not semi. I'm pretty pissed off, cause the person in shop said it was semi? But anyway. I'll have the ends cut off to go back to school, but I'm wondering if any of you know a way to fade/get rid of permanent hair dye faster than just letting it grow out..thanks.

And I love your hair lady_dementorette!!

Eh. I don't know about this, but my mum usually puts those store brought ones in the microwave? Rubs oil on them and puts them in. They taste good to me =)

8  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Re: Traveling to Europe Gift? please help on: January 03, 2006 09:55:50 PM
Well, my friend went away to just after christmas and part of her gift was a travel journal. I just bound some paper together, and left it blank for her to decorate, but then i got one of those big envelopes which the journel fit nicely in. I decorated that, with a few quotes about travelling and some pictures of maps and stuff. I also made some little envelopes to go inside the big ones, they were labelled things like 'coins', 'tickets', 'brochures'...you get the idea. I think she liked it, and I hope she is using it =)
9  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: The 2006 wishlist swap! on: January 02, 2006 05:48:47 AM
Well, I've just been approved, so here is my very wide variety wishlist Wink Just a quick note before, I love love love the colour green, so if you're wondering what colour to go..there is your answer!

1. Wall hanging/posters/paintings - just about ANYTHING I can stick on my walls. I've got cards, drawings, newspaper articles, envelopes, coins, photos, lyrics etc etc.  So I would love more things =)

2. Jewellery - I've just got my ear lobes pierced, so my collection there is very small. I love all that cutesy fimo stuff. I'm also really big on rings/ toe rings. As well as necklaces...and bracelets..and anklets..haha so just about any really =/ oooh, picked =) but you can never have too much jewellery..heh

3. Bags.
I really want a hobo bag like this one - http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=48087.0
I'm also in love with these -http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=7290.0
But of course, the good ol' messenger bags are still awesome!

4. Anything Kurt Halsey - http://www.kurthalsey.com/  Stenciled hoodie, shirt, bag, purse, painting. I love it all!

5. A wallet. I've seen some really cute ones around craftster, and my current one is starting to get a bit ratty. Somewhere for coins, cards and notes.

6. iPod cozy for my 30gb ipod photo. I can give you measurements if you need them =)

7. Pins/badges for my bags.   YAY

8.Stationary - I write a lot of snail mail so I love personalized envelopes and paper etc.

9. I'm on summer holidays at the moment, going back to school in about 3 weeks. I need a new pencil case as my old one has broken..

10.A clock..http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=69459.0
The bouncing souls one there is amazing!!

11. A surprise!!!!

A little bit about me..I'm 14, from Brisbane, Australia. I'm in love with the colour green as I have already said before. I listen to a lot of music ranging from stuff like Less than Jake, to Elliot Smith, The Early November, The Bouncing Souls, Avenged Sevenfold, Rise Against, Millencolin, The Hot Lies, AFI - that is just to name a few, I suppose to show the range? Eh. My favourite band of all time is A Static Lullaby Cheesy What else? My favourite sports are waterpolo and rowing, which I do both of. I'm partial to pretty much anything..
10  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / The big SUMMER HOLIDAY gift thread! on: October 23, 2005 02:17:24 AM
It seems to me that all those threads out there are for people living in the Northen Hemisphere and will therefore having a cold christmas. Well, this is for those of us who will much more likely have a sweaty christmas than a snowy one.
What are our alternatives for scarves and gloves? Hot chocolate?
So I would like to here everyones ideas on what we can do instead for all those people who would usually recieve those kinds of things!
