1  Re: Leaf Camisole Knit.1 Summer '07 in Knitalongs by Scarlet on: June 13, 2007 10:00:44 AM
Here is my progress so far...

I'm knitting it is slightly thinner yarn than the recommended, so it has less structure, but i quite like the more flowing qualities of this cotton yarn.  I'm also making the body about 5 cm longer than the pattern suggests, as most of my skirts sit low on my hips and i don't want to show too much tummy/white Northern Irish flesh!!  Cheesy

But i thought i would share with you my own little Kate!
I hope that you like her as much as i do!  And sorry about the photo quality, i brought her into work to show everyone and photographed her with my mobile phone.

3  Garn Studio's Short Sleeve Cable Dress in Knitalongs by Scarlet on: August 29, 2006 05:09:59 AM
I have just started knitting Garn Studio's Cable Dress, please see http://www.garnstudio.com/lang/en/visoppskrift.php?d_nr=96&d_id=9&lang=en

I am about 10 cm into the short sleeve version of this dress and I was wondering if anyone wanted to join me on this project.  I have decided to omit the cable design on the front (though i love knitting cables) and want this to be more retro and have opted for a rib pattern the whole way up.  I am also knitting it in black rather than grey.  I hope to wear the finished dress with black tights and boots.

Let me know if anyone else wants to get involved as i would love to have you on board!

4  "Aoife" in Rowan's "Country Escape" magazine in Knitalongs by Scarlet on: August 18, 2006 07:14:58 AM
I have just bought the Rowan "Country Escape" magazine and i was wondering if anyone was interested in knitting "Aoife" on page 5.  It is a wonderful cardigan with a "scarf" collar!!  Lovely for cold, grey British days! (and Irish ones for that matter - when i fly home to Ireland for Christmas)

Due to the cost of the yarn, i will be substituting it with something like Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick & Quick.  I am thinking in grass green.  Anyway, please let me know if anyone is on board for this one as i am very excited!!
