AAAhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!  Ok, well maybe just awwww.

Meet  Melvin the toothless shark:

How Melvin came to be:

One day I was clicking around , feeding my latest crafty obsession-ami- when I came across this http://littlegreen.typepad.com/romansock/ wonderful blog. When I saw  her shark I screamed “I HAVE TO HAVE ONE!!” which scared the crap out of my sleeping dogs and husband. I looked and looked but, alas, no pattern in sight. Sooo, I decided to have a go of  it on my own. After two days and about 100 cuss words Melvin was born.
Hmmm, now that I think about it that sounds a little like how my children were born.

This year my son is playing the cowardly lion in "The Wizard of Oz Christmas". So, being the craftaholic mommy that I am,
I am making the ice sculptures for the "Ice Garden"

And a Partridge in a Pear Tree (actually just the partridge in a nest...trees #1 and 2 didn't cut the mustard so they went bye-bye  Undecided  any suggestions on tree making is greatly appriciated!)

Oh yea, I was inspired by Mark Jenkins' beautiful work. He has a tut here:  http://www.tapesculpture.org/
