I love these bags, too, and would really appreciate instructions on how to make them.  Thanks!

I think this type of garment was referred to as a playsuit (and often was actually a swimsuit) I think the "skirt" was actually split, like shorts, or perhaps a short skirt covering matching panties.

Some similar outfits are here: http://www.sovintagepatterns.com/page/page/2871951.htm, especially this one:  http://www.sovintagepatterns.com/catalog/item/2871951/5750940.htm, though without the halter top.

I think my mother had some of these when I was a kid.
5  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: cutlery holder! (for on the go too!) on: May 26, 2009 08:16:29 PM
I love it!  I have a set of bamboo utensils for carrying around so I don't use plastic and they definitely could use a case like this.  Great job!
6  COOKING / Dessert / Re: Please! Can you tell what these are? on: May 24, 2009 08:52:25 PM
Well, I never thought I'd say this, but those sumo wrestlers are pretty cute!  Unless, of course, that's not what they are.  In which case, never mind.  (But I'm pretty sure they are, right?)

 Sad  -- I don't see any pictures.

What a great thing to do!  The bed looks very comfy -- I'm sure the dogs at the shelter will love them.

It's definitely knit.. Here's the Ravelry link for it.
