1  The Brokeback Barn Ball costume in Costumes: Completed Projects by LuckyLally on: April 10, 2006 08:19:06 AM
I went to a western themed dance called the "brokeback barn ball" on friday...I didn't have any western clothes so  bought some cheap faux leather and made myself a vest and some chaps....they were fairly easy..just pants with no crotch or butt....

everyone loved the outfit especially the chaps! they are just so fun..I am really tempted to wear them around campus all week just for the hell of it!

I received my jewelry from Jessf!!!

I was on spring break when the box came so I had to pick it up at the post office....it took all my will power not to rip into right there!...seriously though prepare yourself to be jealous. This stuff is amazing and extremely proffessional.

the pretty card

the four mysterious boxes..what could be inside??

behind door number one there weere three BRACELETS!

and door number two...three pairs of earrings!

and a beautiful hollywood oscars type necklace was in the third box

and finally for the big purple box..

this necklace is really long and the beads are beautiful...Jessf got my style perfect on this one...
This me me being all giddy about to wear my new treasures to class

again thanks everyone who made this swap fun especially CLASSYCRAFTER for all her time and effort!
and Jessf for being an amazing swap partner...I hope you keep swapping afterr this first one so more people can be as lucky as LuckyLally (hehe)

3  I listened to the beatles while making this dress.......... in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by LuckyLally on: February 26, 2006 10:31:11 AM
I decided that this spring I am going to wear dresses. I have never really worn day dresses but I decided tp make a 60's inspired shirt-ish dress....now if it would only get warmer so I could wear it....
(My dress form didnt do this justice so I am self-modeling (thus the picture quality has suffered)

My humps:

here is a close up of the print and the decorative stitching

I would kill on America's Next top Model....take THAT tyra

5  My Sewing tool belt in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by LuckyLally on: January 14, 2006 05:12:25 PM
I used to work at a fabric store and we had these goofy aprons that we had to wear...but I liked them because they made it so I couldn't lose my scissors.

I decided to make a tougher version to wear in design class so I don't have to run from machine to machine looking for the tools that i left all over.

6  Re: Where to start? in Clothing: Discussion and Questions by LuckyLally on: January 09, 2006 05:24:42 AM
ohhh yea! a belted shirt dress would be great ...if they are really HUGE you could just take in the sides and make a belt out of what you took in

like this vogue pattern

:

maybe a bit shorter like a minie dress you wear with jeans or something

7  new years =havoc for jeans in Clothing: Discussion and Questions by LuckyLally on: January 07, 2006 09:36:37 PM
Ok so here is the back story:  when I am not crafting I am a gymnastics instructor at a local gym. So on new years eve after some adult beverages my friends coaxed me into showing off my tumbling skills.

in the middle of my first back handspring I heard an all to familiar riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiip

I came out ok..but my sexy jeans didn't fair so well

the rip is in a realllly bad spot ....and I don't need anymore demin skirts ...any cute (non cheesy)  patching ideas/solutions? or should I start shopping for a new pair of sexy jeans

8  Re: THE BIG WINTER HOLIDAY GIFT THREAD!!!! in Winter Holidays by LuckyLally on: November 23, 2005 08:28:29 AM
.

I wanted to make something cozy for my boyfriend who lives 3 hours away.(this picture is from PBteen) I think this blanket is warm yet more "manly" than a regular fleece one. Ill probably embroider our names in the side somewhere (LALLY+ZACH)

now I have a question of ethics...I made this same blanket for an ex when I was still in Highschool and he was going to college.....obviously we broke up...do you think this blanket has bad craft karma?
