3  Fire Opal Necklace I made for myself :) in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by tashera jean on: September 01, 2014 07:33:44 PM
I adore fire opals.  I mean, I REALLY adore them.  It is my absolutely favorite stone to work with.  The way the light catches the blue flashes amazes me Smiley
So I couldn't resist making myself a necklace!
I hope you all like it as much as I do.
Thank you for looking!

4  Steampunk Embroidered UFO and A Plant :) in Needlework: Completed Projects by tashera jean on: August 09, 2014 12:25:03 PM
Hello everyone!
I just started teaching myself embroidery and wanted to share my first two projects with you all.
The first one I made was this plant, who I lovingly call Rodrigo.  I am notorious for accidentally killing plants (even air plants, seriously).  So rather than have a bunch of dead plants around my home, I decided to make one that would stay green forever!
The second embroidery is of a Alien in a UFO (I entitled Kirks Wild Journey) I made from vintage watches and watch parts.  I think he is super fun and he sits right next to my desk Smiley
I hope you all enjoy my beginning adventures in embroidery!
Thank you for looking,
-tashera jean

6  Micro Heart Gear Pendant I made :) in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by tashera jean on: August 09, 2014 11:47:21 AM
Hi everyone!
I just thought I would share my tiniest work to date-
The entire piece is smaller than a US dime!
The base is solid silver and the inside is built up with vintage gears and then emerald chips.
This was so fun to make but incredibly challenging for someone like me who has a negative 10 eyesight and blind without my glasses.  Because of my astigmatism, I have to craft without my glasses and must work with the piece less than two inches from my face to see it.
Regardless, I loved making this piece and hope to make more in the future Cheesy
Thank you for looking,
-tashera

7  Steampunk Clockwork Charm Bracelets Album- Pic Heavy! in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by tashera jean on: August 05, 2014 03:29:50 PM
Hello everyone!
I thought you might like seeing some of the steampunk/clockwork charm bracelets I have made from antique and vintage watch faces along with Swarovski crystals.
I have a lot of fun making these for the most part, but it takes forever to make a charm bracelet  o_O
I had no idea how time consuming it is until I started making these.  I now have a new respect for jewelery artists who make charm bracelets on a regular basis!
Thank you for looking and I would love some feedback Smiley

ps- I hope its okay to post a lot of pictures in one thread like this rather than a single picture in a lot of threads?

That's it for now! Thank you for looking Cheesy
