21  T-bag- a bad ass dofo! in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by jane feebles on: August 04, 2006 09:27:21 PM
Meet Teabag- a badassdnky dofo with a taste for speed, fast ass and grass.
Made for teapotdnky to add to the donkey stable for the summer fling swap  Grin Complete with piercings, gold tooth and some nasty tats!

I adapted him from the gogo pets fawn pattern in the japanese Palm-sized Stuffies book ISBN 4 8347 2244 9 that I found out about here on craftster (that's where the pattern for the little puppy stuffies comes from)

You can see clearer shots of the embroidery on teapot's post http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=106169.msg1066829#msg1066829

I had a great time making him, I think he came out pretty funny. Thanks!

22  Picnic kit for one! in Completed Projects by jane feebles on: August 04, 2006 08:28:28 PM
I made this for sissychrissy1 in the fruits and veges swap- she likes to ride her bike alot, and while picnicing with myself on a lovely sunny day I came up with THE PICNIC PEACH!

It's essentially a cushion that is quite hollow and filled with everything you'd need for a picnic for one: cutlery, picnic mat, zipper pouch for food (or project)  and napkin. And the container is a cushion, so you can have a nap in the sun  Smiley

I made it out of this shiny terry towelling i've had for ages ( I secretly have always wanted to make little roller skating shorts with it), and the gingham stuff is a plastic flannel backed tablecloth I picked up cheap- so everything is waterproof and insulated a little bit.
I also used fusible webbing to applique a peach to the napkin.

I think I'll need to make one for myself- maybe an apple...

shortest kitty, thought you might like to see the pincushion I made for sissychrissy1 in the fruits and veges swap- inspired by your genius!

The peas are attached with velcro and come out for little jobs (or juggling). Pelase disregard the apples and the button  Tongue

This is the stuff I sent sissychrissy1. I concentrated on one big theme mostly- a picnic peach! A picnic set for one that she could take on a bike ride.
Here's the peach

Unzipped

And all the contents- a picnic mat with weatherproof backing, napkin and cutlery and a waterproof and padded lined bag to keep a craft kit or lunch in, depending on what her trip entails

tha bag itself is lightly padded so she can use it as a cushion- I always find on picnics that after lunch I'd like a nap, and usually have to use my bag as a pillow  Cheesy

Plus I made her a pea pincushion, the peas come out and attach to the pod with velcro, plus I chucked in a I <3 my fruit and veg button and some apples I didn't use

I'm glad you liked it all sissychrissy1  Smiley

Hurrah! My package finally arrived from sissychrissy1 (australian customs have got it in for me, they seem to oppen all my packages) It was well worth the wait too.
I ripped it open in the carpark of the PO, but it was so nicely wrapped up I had to wait til I was home to take a photo of it all. I'm from the 'squash it down and stuff it in' school of postage, so it was so beautiful to get pretty wrapped presents

And then the goodies! She made me an apple hoody- so cute and a perfect fit, I'm going to wear it to work today

action shot (bit murky sorry)

PLUS some fruity little notebooks, but filled with different things like shopping lists, timetable pages and even a set of sudoku games! And a cute strawberry purse (I'm going to use it as a needlebook) and a coconut mirror! Ha!

And a pea pincushion! I made her one too- we must be pea-sychically linked  Wink

AND scratch n sniff stickers, Koolaid for dying yarn and some hard-core post stalking must have revealed my weakness for peanut buttery chocolates, cos the evil temptress sent me a huge selection.

Thanks sissychrissy, it was a great package, full of fruity goodness  Cheesy

hee, I like the kiwifruit  Smiley

Here's my package from twelvety!! Get ready for picture overload!

This is Mils (he's my favourite  Smiley)

And this is Gary.  Doug keeps picking him up, looking all over, and putting him down, then coming back again.  I think this is successful sock creature response  Grin
I tried to get his funny little tail in the pic, but I don't think you can see it

My furry glasses case (which fits my magnifying specs I use when sewing fine things at night 12ty)

A beautifully covered journal with a decal taken from a scarf I sent over.  How did you get it so precisely neat?? I am in awe, I suck at that kind of stuff
Front

Back

A lovely enormous bag, that may be my new knitting bag  Smiley

PLUS a freakin cool tropicana plate, perfect for your next bbq, or to display next to my carved pineapple salad set

Thanks twelvety, you're still my hero!

Hey, here's the stuff I sent mata.
I only took itty-bitty phone pictures, so maybe mata can post better ones later
She asked for a kitty-ville beanie, which i made out a great soft fluffy yarn called 'cat'.  I quite like the cat's paws, i'm making myself one out of sparkly grey yarn

Plus I knitted her a bag from her wists, and I made her a little birthday cake

This cutie-patootie teapot bag I'm going to use as a knitting bag (sorry I forgot to turn it)

PLUS a pretty box covered in batik fabric

PLUS beautiful wool

PLUS chocolates and biscuits and a postcard and seeds for basil and peppers

Mata, you're the best swap partner a girl could ever have!!
