1  Corsage for $4!! in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by spunkydamunky on: August 02, 2009 01:41:35 AM
Last year after the school ball, I kept tripping up in my heels over peoples broken corsages. Apart from this being sad, I thought it was a great waste of money. And since this is not the time to waste money, I made my own corsage. And several others- for the price of a pack of coffee filters Smiley

2  Starbucks/grassy re-cover :) in Shoes: Completed Projects by spunkydamunky on: July 14, 2008 02:09:20 AM
Here's the story. I got my first pair of heels. and of course, they were ugggly. (sorry mummy)
4 years later, and they still fit! mystery or possibly.. fate??
anyway.. I had some Starbucks tissue paper left over from Christmas. I had some brown ribbon. And I had some modge-podge.
An idea began to form.. ok, its pretty obvious. Yea, I covered my shoes.
Before....

And after!!!

comments and criticism welcome.
p.s I haven't quite finished (i have to trim around the sole with a scalpel)

3  Charles Dickens.. to chop or not... in Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions by spunkydamunky on: February 15, 2008 09:56:25 PM
so I was at my job at the library (yee yeah) and they were throwing out some old books cause they were water damaged.
i saw this one and wanted it... the cover had the most GORGEOUS patterns Cheesy

and salvaged it from the rubbish bin
when i got it home, i decided to make a book using the old covers.
when i took this book into my local scrapbooking shop to get some paper for a new lining, the lady seemed really shocked that i was going to cut it up... maybe because its from 1912...
anyway, i need some opinions. My dad thinks i should chop it, my mum thinks not, and im in between...
i'll also post a picture of the spinal damage.

this is the only picture inside the book
please help me make up my mind!!!

4  Cute space themed badges... in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by spunkydamunky on: February 02, 2008 12:38:36 PM
While the summer holidays were dragging on, i decided to make some badges. I picked up some metal charms from our local scrapbooking store

also some plastic stars left over from Christmas

and then hit a problem. I couldnt find the ball and cup style of badge backing anywhere! (I'm not sure of the actual name, so I'll put a photo to show you what I was looking for.)

Instead, i decided to use the butterfly earring backings, which i picked up from a massive craftstore for a real bargain
and voila!

The badges work, I just have to trim the length of the post once I find out how thick my blazer is...
comments welcome!
p.s sorry for the blurry photos, i took a lot of these late last night and I'm not sure how to work my new camera Tongue

5  School... blaugh! in Completed Projects by spunkydamunky on: February 01, 2008 11:43:09 PM
So yea, this is my first posting! Smiley I have always had this fascination with school books and making cool interesting covers for them.. it really brightens up my summer! This year i decided to go down the classy path, as compared to the weird one i usually use...
I was in our local paper plus (stationary and books) and picked up a really cheap roll of wrapping paper, white with black patterns. I also used my pencil case from last year which i hand stitched from zips which is now looking a little worse for wear:P but it still hasnt fallen apart and got this reallly cute tiny pencil case.
Feedback welcome! I would love to know what sort of crazy things everyone else does with their books Smiley
p.s i know the photos arent working, i've asked a few questions and just waiting for replies. bear with me. i told you, im new!!
