thanks so much. i'll definitely look into it. it'll either be that or the auto decals (which i assume would be waterproof).
4  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / vinyl decals in the bathroom... on: June 02, 2009 02:53:31 PM
so we just moved into a new apartment that needs some serious work. (but we like fixer-uppers so that's okay!) however, I'm sort of clueless about what to do with the bathroom.

The shower has one of those molded plastic linings (with the built-in shelves). It has become discolored over the years and there is some minor damage, and even after many scrubbings it still looks, well kinda gross. there's no way we're going to get a new one. (our landlord is not very concerned with aesthetics).

I though of buying some large vinyl decals to help distract from the color but will those stay up in the shower? Has anyone ever tried something like this or have other ideas?
I don't want to spend all that money and then have them ruined in a week.

Any and all help is appreciated!

6  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Screen Printing: Completed Projects / octopus silk-screened holiday cards on: December 28, 2008 08:40:57 AM
my boyfriend and i made these cards for the holidays this year. the actual paper part is 3 different layers (one was a shimmery layer on the glass which looked like frost but was really hard to photograph.) the little octopus guy is two layers silk screened on shrink plastic. he can be used as an ornament or whatever you like! we made about 60 of these i think.

in progress........

end result......

different colors.... (blurry)

this was my attempt at photography the shimmery layer...... i think you can kind of see it but maybe that's just because i know its there.

envelopes....

i'm pretty happy with the end result. what do you guys think?

here's what i received from sheridanla (sorry it took me a few days to post)

appetizer cookbook (little snacky things are my favorite!)

hot pads (these are really well made)

and the cookbook! (every recipe has a little personal story about how she got it, etc. it's a really nice touch.)

thanks so much sheridanla!
