12  felt patches in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by jinxme on: July 27, 2005 06:45:15 AM
these are nothing special just some felt patches that i've made recently. i'm thinking of making tote bags or something along those lines to sew them on and sell them. would you buy one?

(apparently i forgot to pick the loose stings off the robot and i just noticed right now.)

13  western flair in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by jinxme on: July 27, 2005 06:41:30 AM
i made this for my sister. she's really into western stuff and it matches her room. i used pictures from a book about old westerns. (that i found in the garbage, see the post about my actress coffee table). i used modpodge once again in layers and then sealed it.

14  my coffee table of glamorous ladies in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by jinxme on: July 27, 2005 06:38:55 AM
i don't have any before pictures of this but you can imagine - it was just your standard brown wood coffee table. i painted it pink and cut the photos of actresses out of a book. (can you believe that my friend and i found about 20 or 30 books in someone's garbage that were all about movies and full of 20's-60's actors and actresses pictures like these!!) I used modpodge to glue them down then i put about 4 or 5 layers on top then sealed it with clear acrylic spray paint. now i can look at these lovely ladies every day from my couch.

15  flirty pillowcase top in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by jinxme on: July 27, 2005 06:33:00 AM
i bought this pillowcase at a thirft store for $.10. All i did was take the stitching out of the top and double it up so it wasn't see through. then i just took it in, in a few areas where it didn't fit very well and added some elastic to the back. its a little wonky but i can perfect it next time and i like it.

lining

sorry i don't have any pictures of me modeling it.

this is a very rough version (notice that the lining is starting to come off). but i was excited to try and make one. i pretty much just improvised it. i'm satisfied with the way that it came out, but its a little on the large side. these bags are so convient to carry!

18  my stenciled bike patch in Stenciling: Completed Projects by jinxme on: July 08, 2005 06:41:43 AM
to make the stencil i used some bike clip-art that i found online. i took some artistic liberties when cutting it out with an exacto knife. i taped it down and used craft paint. after it dried i added some black tule and ribbon, then attached it to my bag.

thats it.

sorry for the semi-blurry photo, i'm secretly using my boss's camera at work.
