From sunspotted, a felted kitty basket:

I apologize that I don't have a better picture of the basket; I can't get the cats out of it.

Thank you!

Here is the fantastic stuff I got from linnybelle!

First up: The River Bag of Many pockets. I love it! It is my new favorite bag, and it is going to become my work bag for certain. There are 18 pockets inside of this!

Next, a hair comb inspired by Kaylee. It looks terribly cute, and I look forward to wearing it.

The trunk is all about River:

A set of cool coasters/wallhanging/candle bases/etc., each with a quote from a character:

And the OMG I love it, a scrap quilt, inspired by River! She said it reminds her of River because it's so random, but when added together, it turns into something beautiful. It certainly is!

And my cats are STILL fighting over the box the goodies came in!

Here we go!

Everything together. There's a theme to the package: All Imperial, and all with my name on it in Imperial Script!

A cool journal:

A nifty box!

And inside was this pouch:

And a homemade postcard (I even collect postcards, making this totally cool!)

Squee, I love it all, and the gaming group thought it was pretty nifty. Smiley

Time for more swap goodness!

Gossamer_gull and I live about two towns apart, so we met today after work to exchange goodies in a local Friendly's.

A group shot (not everything, but a good general overview):

And now, in order:

From Gossamer_gull, I got the following:

Two tribbles: one for me, one for my cat!

A very cool piece of cross-stitched art with the Klingon symbol on it (and to show off geekiness, I believe this is the symbol used in the Klingon courts, as opposed to the more colorful version used on the warships):

A beautiful hand-painted (free hand!) box with the Starfleet logo:

And inside the box:

A star trek wallet full of nifty laminated items, including a Warp God Wesley (squee!) and a box of Classic Trek "protein cubes"

So much happy goodness, thank you so much, gossamer_gull!

And then here's what she got from me:

A set of Star Trek Votives:

(Star Fleet, Bajoran, Romulan, Klingon, Ferengi, Cardassian (Obsidian Order because she loves Garak)

Close-up of the Romulan votive, which took me two days to work up the nerve to attempt:

A Borg hat and fingerless glove set, with i-cord "tubes":

(She looks very assimilated, doesn't she?)

And lastly, a Bajoran Orb of the Prophets complete with Shrine (This is what I burned my hand making!):

(The best part was seeing her face when she realized what the box must be!)

Thanks for being a great partner, Gossamer_gull!

Thank you all for the compliments! I'm so glad Cheebs liked everything!

And here's how I got spoiled!

First, a shot of everything...well, almost everything, my cat Morganti is sleeping on some of it! She approved a great deal, I had to keep pushing her out of my pictures.

The needle roll, the outside. (You can see the inside in the first picture. Morganti really likes it. I do too!)

Three pendants, which I adore: Mitochondrial DNA, human DNA, and the universe -- all in  microscope slides!

a pencil case (flip side has a rocket ship):

And a cool little blank journal decorated with cut-outs from her science textbooks:

I love it all! Thank you so much!

9  Re: Because we miss Harry Potter Swap! in The Swap Gallery by gleep on: March 25, 2008 07:59:15 PM
Well, we don't want to disappoint people, do we?

Sooo....I received from tiffie1023! And I've been spoiled!

Looky looky:

First, everything all together: An embroidered pillowcase, a sketchbook, a Quidditch bag, a quill pen, two catnip snakes (one shown), Slytherin's locket, and a rune wallet....

I am already wearing my pretty locket, although Tiffie assured me the Dark Lord's presence no longer inhabits it. (Although, there still seems to be an eye inside...)

The flip side of the pillowcase:

The very cool little journal. I *live* off these things, I keep all my notes and lists of things I need to do in them. And she hand-drew the Slytherin badge onto it! Absolutely fantastic!

A wallet covered in runes:

A Quidditch Bag! I was going to make this my "cart everything I need to work" bag since it was about perfect, but I would need to add a strap. Instead, I think this may turn into my knitting notions bag. I'm constantly losing stitch markers, point protectors, yard tape, etc. and this is perfect for that!

And lastly, a quill pen and one of the two snakes she sent for my cat, Morganti. I would show both snakes, but my cat has already made off with the first one and I've no idea where it went.

Thank you so much for being my partner, Tiffie! I love everything!
