1  Two new necklaces in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by theblackplague on: December 31, 2007 02:42:20 PM
While I should have been working on AP US History homework today, I chose to make pretty things instead.  Who needs history, anyways?   Tongue

The first one is silver colored chain with a black/white resin pendant I bought.  I was concentrating and trying really hard to actually get a shot of my neck instead of my chin, since I didn't use the help of a mirror to see the viewscreen.

This next one is an amazing stone pendant from Blue Moon beads, with the same type of chain as above.  I thought to use a mirror this time, so my neck doesn't look all strange from me having a hard time  Grin

2  "God loves you (and I'm trying)" shirt in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by theblackplague on: December 30, 2007 08:29:56 PM
I purchased the original t-shirt last summer at a church camp I went to with my youth group.  I don't have a picture of the original, but think of a size Large unisex t-shirt.  On a 5' 3" girl.  Doesn't work so well.

SO!  I sewed up the sides and sleeves, not bothering to remove the sleeves and do them that way.  Too much work for me.  A few months after that, I decided to cut the neckline out so I could make a sleeveless shirt put over it look like it had sleeves (I think for school, but who knows).  Tonight, I realized I hardly ever wore the shirt, because the cut neckline was a bit uneven and it bothered me.  So I cut the neckline even further, and added the little strap-thingies (sewn by hand, not worth it to go downstairs to the machine).  On to pictures!

(yup, my toilet's debut on the internet)

Closer up

(note:  I don't know what was so amusing at the time, nor why my glasses are slightly skewed.  Also, I just realized why I don't like pictures of people, especially myself:  they always resemble zombies.  Or the vacant stares of barbie dolls.)

Comments appreciated  Smiley

3  a cuff set, 4 necklaces, some earrings, and a ring (IMG HEAVY-20 pics) in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by theblackplague on: August 11, 2007 01:18:04 PM
well, I haven't been very good about posting lately  Lips sealed
I also don't remember what I've posted and what I haven't, so this is just the most recent stuff  Cheesy some of the pictures are slightly blurry  Tongue

cuffs (leather with silvertone star-shaped eyelets):
cuff laid flat:
both of them:

european 4-1 necklace, originally goldtone but it wore off after two times of wearing it!  I found out i can't wear this one or the next one because the finish on the rings not only wears off, but makes my skin break out in a rash!  Angry

same rings as above, but i've never worn this one for the reasons stated above:

a simple necklace i just felt like making one day:

and a necklace i really love, mainly because of the glass heart-shaped bead:

6  almost approaching a year (of jewelry-making, that is) in Beads: Completed Projects by theblackplague on: October 22, 2006 02:23:13 PM
i started to really get into beading and similar hobbies when my stepfather's mom sent me a huge thing of beads and findings last christmas.  Now it's a lot of what i do, and it's what most of my friends and family (girls at least) are getting this Christmas for gifts.

I took a couple weeks off...I just didn't have the time, the desire, or beads I wanted to work with.  I spent almost all the money i received on my birthday (my 15th  Grin) on beads and wire, so here's some results:

and my favorite (it ties with a ribbon); it's very dark and a lot of my classmates have liked it a lot:

a ring i made when i got bored:

and lots of earrings  Grin:

thank you for looking at them, i want to know if you like them, or what i can improve, so if I give them as gifts the recipients love them Smiley

8  my jewelry for homecoming UPDATE! BETTER PICTURE, SCROLL DOWN in Beads: Completed Projects by theblackplague on: September 24, 2006 06:08:50 AM
i love this set, it has a pretty flower toggle clasp on both the necklace and bracelet, aventurine chips, white shell chips, and cream/gold foil beads.  I plan on wearing the clasp in front, because of the neckline of my dress (which i can't show here, because it's being hemmed by my friend's grandmother at the moment).  the earrings are pretty long, but it looks nice.  I will try to update when i have pictures taken the night of the dance.  The pictures now are kind of weird, the background was waaay too dark when the flash on my camera didn't go off, so i tried to lighten them up...so now they've all got a whitish fog type thing over them  Sad

i would love comments on it  Smiley
