2  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Completed Projects / Nature Inspired Mobile on: May 13, 2014 10:39:23 AM
My first needlefelting project! I have to say, I am so proud of it<3 This is a mobile for my baby boy.

There are three mushrooms, a tree, a flower, bird, owl, inchworm, and bunny (my least favorite, I dont even think it looks like a bunny, but it seems to be everyone's favorite part :/ ) The wreath is woven young willow branches. I woved them, then tied them super tight with string so they wouldnt unravel or loosen (adjusting it as it starts to dry is important so you can make it tighter.)

Here's some detailed shots:

3  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Introduce Yourself / Hello! on: May 11, 2014 09:10:00 AM
Hi there everyone! My name is Maraschino, a long time reader of Craftster, who decided it was about time to join! I have a new baby, and along with my little man has come the goal of doing more of what I love, which is of course, art!

I work with various mediums, and have tried many kinds of techniques to create art. I do mostly crochet, sewing, origami, needle felting, cavandoli macrame jewelry... Ive done bookbinding which was alot of fun, but its been quite a while since ive dabbled in that! I make some sweet dream catchers as well. Smiley Im looking forward to joining some challenges and becoming a more wholesome artist.

Woot!<3
