1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Reconned Recon - My shirt to a kiddie halter top on: June 26, 2005 08:30:28 PM
This was a shirt that shrank and was going to be combined with another shirt that also shrank..well, it didn't work.

So...I made this halter for my daughter instead. The weird seam thing in the front is a seam already in the shirt I cut up..and the folded down thing on the top of it to the left isn't sposed to be there...lol..not sewn like that..just needed to be straighted.

2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Ok they're pillowcase skirts, but we got PINNOCHIO! <Newbie Here> on: June 21, 2005 11:29:51 PM
This is for my oldest daughter...not hemmed yet. On the back are 2 more panels..Pinnochio and Blue Faery

And this is for the younger one...it's done.

The pictures blow......so does my camera. Angry
3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Yeah, so uh, about those wrap skirts..if you've made one, stop here! on: June 21, 2005 05:41:36 PM
I was thinking "Wrap skirt. Hmm. Ok, so like a sarong." So I made mine like that..one piece and one side tucked in and the other that tied on the hip. I got it all done except the ties and realized I had "sarong" idea. That tucked part won't stay tucked so what did ya'll do, add a button, more ties on the inside, or what?

4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / New, Confused, & Frustrated with all the Recons on: June 21, 2005 07:36:39 AM
First and foremost, I am in awe of the talent displayed here.

With that said, I both love and hate you all at the same time. Grin Ya'll make such fabulous stuff and nothing I make comes out worth a crap.

Let's see...I've tried the pillowcase skirts with the tshirt waist band..made for my daughter and it was awful. Looked like she had 50 extra pounds in her waist..and she's 6!

Last night I tried the wrap skirt from a sheet. It looked like a really bizarre toga.

This just blows! Coming here is really bad for my self esteem...lol...but I can't stop!
