Wow, thanks for all the positive comments everyone.  It's nice to get some good feedback for my first thing on here.

The prescription lenses are from an old pair of glasses that I took the arms off.  They just pop out super easily too, so people with good eyes can wear them as well.  I didnt like having to try to put them on over my glasses every time, so I gave this a try and it worked out surprisingly well.

Oh, and me wife is awesome for introducing me to craftster.

My lovely wife (Arachnea) told me about Craftster and about the monthly craft challenges. She's so awesome and is helping me write this as I've never navigated Craftster before. I was told this month the challenge was to use a container and re-purpose it, so I grabbed some Welch's juice containers:

They became the focal point of my Steam-punkified goggles:

Because I wear glasses, I even fit an old prescription into the goggles so I could see out of them more easily:

Essentially, I used dollar store items to create most things - the silver corrugation is from princess tiara's in the kids section - The red interface is a binder sectional, the goggle base is a pair of goggles from the "tools" section. I spray painted everything with a copper - and spray painted the front pieces silver. The juice containers make up the body of the goggles - the spherical part that sticks out, to which other things are attached. The strap is a belt from a thrift store.

Thanks for looking!

Love this idea.  It makes for a really neat little booky deally that I can imagine a roving spellcaster having on his belt or something - ready for some quick castingness.
