Hey guys, thought I'd teach myself a bunch of new skills with one project (Knitty's centre square hat - the pattern on the front of the latest issue).
So I learnt fair isle, continental knitting, knitting in the round and ssk.
Here are some pictures.
This one shows the overall shape.
And this next one shows the colourwork close up.
The modifications I made were that instead of using two strands of worsted held together, I used a single strand of Garnstudio's Eskimo line. (The hat used two balls, in the end I had about 2 yards left of each colour). I didn't do the crown decreases until there were 8 stitches left before drawing the yarn through - I drew the yarn through the remaining stitches when there were 32 stitches left (hence the bunchier top than the one you see).
Anyways, thanks for looking. Any and all comments appreciated.
