I saw your project on BuzzFeed and I followed the link. It's a really awesome idea! I tried it, but the crayons wouldn't fit in the glue gun, so I had to force them in. It didn't really work as the crayon broke in the glue gun. Some wax dribbled out I don't know how, and I burned my finger a little bit.  Cry But I really love your work and I think it's a really great idea. If I'm to restart, I might try buying a glue gun at Michaels like you did.
