1  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Little Mushroom Embroidery on: July 03, 2014 08:46:50 PM
I made this for my partner in the Woodland Creature & Enchanted Forest swap

I found the fabric in the scrap bin at a local fabric shop. What luck! I thought it was absolutely perfect for this project. I didn't use a pattern for the embroidery, but I saw a similar design on Pinterest that inspired mine.

The stitching isn't perfect, but it has been years since I've embroidered and even then I never completed a project that wasn't just chain stitch. I'm pretty happy with it and can't wait to do more embroidery!
2  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Space Fox Pyrography/Watercolor on: July 03, 2014 08:42:51 PM
Check out this wall hanging I made for my partner in the Woodland Creature & Enchanted Forest swap! I was really happy with how he turned out, especially since I haven't done any woodburning since I was 17-ish.

I burned the fox, then colored him and the background with watercolor pencils. The stars were made with a thin paint pen.
