1  Little Mushroom Embroidery in Needlework: Completed Projects by LollypopStitches on: July 03, 2014 08:46:50 PM
I made this for my partner in the Woodland Creature & Enchanted Forest swap

I found the fabric in the scrap bin at a local fabric shop. What luck! I thought it was absolutely perfect for this project. I didn't use a pattern for the embroidery, but I saw a similar design on Pinterest that inspired mine.

The stitching isn't perfect, but it has been years since I've embroidered and even then I never completed a project that wasn't just chain stitch. I'm pretty happy with it and can't wait to do more embroidery!

2  Space Fox Pyrography/Watercolor in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by LollypopStitches on: July 03, 2014 08:42:51 PM
Check out this wall hanging I made for my partner in the Woodland Creature & Enchanted Forest swap! I was really happy with how he turned out, especially since I haven't done any woodburning since I was 17-ish.

I burned the fox, then colored him and the background with watercolor pencils. The stars were made with a thin paint pen.

Is everyone ready to see the awesome package I received from stitch and stones?!

First we have this gorgeous crocheted fox basket. I'm going to use him to hold my most special skeins of yarn right beside my crafting chair!

Next up she made me a pair of owl cabled fingerless mitts! They're her own pattern, too. I love wearing fingerless mitts, but rarely have to motivation to knit things for myself. I'm SO happy to have these!!

Can you handle the cuteness? I had to squeal a little when I pulled these guys out because I adore hedgehogs and these knitted ones are just the cutest!! Look at their little bellies!

Check out this fantastic journal?! I love journals and notebooks so much, and I can never have enough! I'm almost afraid to write in this one, and kind of just want to look at it forever.

Can you believe these are her first ATCs? They beautiful and will much super cool additions to my collection.

Last, but not least, she sent TWO balls of yarn and an adorable little fairy wand!

Thank you so, so much stitch and stones! I adore everything you sent and I hope to see you in another swap someday!

I work at a daycare, and I saw SO many cute woodland/forest themed children's projects on Pinterest that I just had to make some. This wall is blank right now, of course, but I'm looking forward to crafting this theme at home AND at work for the next week or two!
